  It was just after 6 and they don't open the gate until 7. But if you’re walking you can just enter next to the gate. But if you have a car you need to wait until 7. Anyway, I entered Colo-I-Suva Forest Park and BOOM! It was quiet, not one single bird was singing for me. IT WAS DEAD! There is a road and I walked on the road deeper in to the forest. Well, I could see the light coming in from both sides so I guess there wasn't much forest on the side of the road. Like in Malaysia, they leave 30 meters of forest next to the roads. Look under the trees and you see the palm oil plantations for as long as you can see.  Reaching the park

I saw one bird and I heard two and I was soon giving up walking back to the gate again. As soon as I was coming closer to the gate again I could hear the birds from the other side of the road outside the forest park. I walked back to Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort looking out for birds. I really wanted to have a picture of the parrot. But the only bird picture I got was the Barking Imperial Pigeon sitting in a tree at Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort. Birding Fiji adventure have been nothing but a failure when it comes to bird pictures. But it have been a lovely time while looking for the birds. Well, maybe not so lovely in the Colo-I-Suva Forest Park, at least not when it comes to bird watching.  Barking Imperial Pigeon

I had not given up on the parrot and I walked around the Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort to see if I had any luck finding the Masked shining parrot. They were flying around, but not any pictures. I called my driver, the original plan was to leave here at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. But I wanted to change it to 11 and it was no problem So I returned to my Bure to make me some tea and to have some smoked salmon and camembert before leaving for Nadi. Well, we're going to Denarau, an island at Nadi. I'm looking forward to checking in to Westin and to have a hot shower and some AC.
