  Wednesday 11th of October 2017 and my alarm went off at 5. I left for my last birding walk 20 past 6 o'clock to have a last look for the Tongan Whistler and the Blue-crowned Lorikeet. I came up with nothing, well, I just had to take a picture of the Pacific Kingfisher, my last bird picture from Vava'u I ran in to the young boy in our team. He came running towards me to tell me he had seen the Blue-crowned Lorikeet. We went to have a look, but with me, no luck.  Pacific Kingfisher
Taxi will come to pick us up at 9 thirty for transportation to Vava'u International Airport. Fiji Airways flight FJ 274 to Nadi. I think this is the only International flight from Vava'u. We left Vava'u Villa behind and it will be nice to get to Fiji so I can have a shower. My new friens told me that they understood that I was happy to leave. They had been in my room yesterday copying my pictures and videos and they had been shocked to see my room. And today they told me that they understood that I was happy to leave the 100 Rupee room. - This is a room you pay 100 Rupees for in India, my friend said Well, the worst part was the missing shower. Anyway, we got off at Vava'u International and we went to check in. I asked the girl in the check-in if I could down grade my ticket.  - WHAT!!??
- Can I down grade my BIZ to monkey class? - You want to fly in economy class?
Economy class was better than the business class when we came here so I wanted to sit in the back. I got my own 2 seats in row 8 and I was happy.  Vava'u International Airport

Immigration and security went smoothly and I had not expected much so I was not surprised when I entered the departure hall. Just some seats and a TAX FREE shop with a very small selection. Never mind, I have nothing to buy here. I will buy two bottles of Red Label for my driver in Nadi, but I will do it at arrival to Nadi, Fiji.  I took a seat in front of the door. I have about 2 hours to kill and even though I don't expect any action on the tarmac you never know. And I had not been sitting down for long before we had a flight from Real Tonga arriving and suddenly there was a lot of action on the tarmac. And when the flight was ready to leave again we could hear another airplane approaching and it was our Fiji Airways plane landing.  All the action and the time flied away and it was soon time for us to board Fiji Airways flight FJ 274 bound for Nadi, Fiji. Not a flight I'm looking forward to, but it is only 2 hours and the seat next to me will  hopefully be empty. I was the first passenger on the tarmac.
I climbed on board and I asked the Stewardess for an extension and she would bring one for me. I took my seat and boarding was soon completed. Not many passengers on today's flight. We taxi out on the runway before scheduled departure time and no one was sad, arriving earlier to Nadi and I can buy a bottle of Pepsi MAX.  First to board the flight

The flight was kind of OK. We arrived to Nadi earlier than scheduled. Very good! Immigration was done in a few seconds and I bought two bottles of Red Label while waiting for my bag. 99 Fiji Dollars so now I only need to pay the driver 100 for the ride to Suva. I stopped at Vodaphone to check my balance on the SIM card before I moved over to the Pepsi shop. I spotted my driver and I handed him the Red Label and we walked to the car. As soon as we reached the car I popped open a bottle of Pepsi MAX.  Pepsi MAX
