PLEASE! Be lenient with the quality of my pictures. Back in 1985 I used a KODAK Instamatic and then I changed to a KODAK disc camera and   the quality of the pictures leaves a lot to wish for. Not even Photoshop helps to improve these pictures.
The KODAK Instamatic pictures are better than the KODAK Disc camera. But this is the quality we were used with back in 1985, unless we used a big system camera. Put if we wanted a small automatic camera to carry in our pockets, yes, then it was KODAK Disc. And I lost a few cameras during my time in school.  Party and I had my camera in my shirt pocket. And sometimes I had to go drive the bus at the bathroom. Waking up without camera and pictures. Most likely felt out of the pocket and down the toilet.
And of course, 25 years in a photo album have done nothing to improve the quality of my pictures. But now they are here for all of us to see.
Tuesday 11th of July 1985 and I signed off M/T Vestria. School was starting end of August in Go:teborg so I had a little more than a month in Skåne to party with my friends before I left Skåne behind for the Navigation School in Go:teborg. And party it was!  There were some introduction/ information letter from Chalmers in Go:teborg. I need to buy a CASIO calculator.
- What the 
I had a Texas Instrument and it was a darn good calculator. I could do anything that I wanted with this calculator. And seriously, you only need the  trigonometry functions. The rest is pretty basic.
I called Chalmers in Go:teborg.  - Why do I need to buy a CASIO calculator?
 - CASIO is a very good calculator. And you can program BASIC on the CASIO
- What the hell is BASIC?
- Oh, this is very important. We will learn how to program
- 
So I had to buy a CASIO calculator and I went to the book store in Båstad. The only book store in Båstad and the only thing I have bought there was books by Sven Hassel. They arranged a CASIO for me and I was ready to take on the school and any BASIC programming they were going to throw my way. And it would turn out that I had exactly ZERO use for my CASIO's BASIC capacity. An utter waste of money and I was actually quite angry. I had the best calculator you could buy for  money and I end up with a joke for a calculator.
And the BASIC programming we did in school, well, I have found exactly ZERO use for BASIC programming. My Grandparents were busy trying to arrange a place for me to live while in school in Go:teborg. I don't remember me having much interest in where I was going to live. But our neighbours in Båstad knew someone that knew someone and I had an apartment on Slottsskogsgatan at Mariaplan in Go:teborg. +++++++++++++++
Friday 26th of July 1985 and Motörhead was in Ängelholm on their IT NEVER GETS DARK TOUR.  And of course our Hero was there to see them. And it was loud, it started with a band from Norway and when Motörhead was finished I had some terrible pain in my ears. It lasted for several days.
I drove from Båstad so when the concert was finished I took my car and I drove to my friend's apartment. The plan was to go  to Klitterhus, a disco in Ängelholm.
I had my car and I decided not to drink and I offered my friends to take them to Klitterhus and I would drive back to Båstad when Klitterhus closed. Driving to Klitterhus was not a nice experience, speed limit 30 km/h and speed bumps all the way.  And 30 km/h is an impossible speed to keep. 30 is almost a complete stand still.
Well, anyway, you can imagine how fun Klitterhus was when I was drinking soda water and when they finally closed I dropped my friends at their home and I took off to Båstad. I dropped 2 of the girls in Förslövsholm on my way to Båstad. +++++++++++++++
Saturday 27th of July 1985 and I was back in Ängelholm and this time I was going to leave my car  at the parking place outside my friend's apartment.
Didn't take me very long to drive between Båstad and  Ängelholm when there was a drink waiting in Ängelholm.
Ängelholm, and there were  only 2 places. At least this is how I remember it. Klitterhus and Continental.
Not so fun, but I only went to Ängelholm a few times so it was OK. But I'm not sure IF I would have been able to take any more of Ängelholm when it was time to move to Go:teborg.
 There was a disco in the basement and if it wasn't at Continental there was 3 places in Ängelholm. Highly unlikely.
I have searched the internet for  information, but so far I have come up with nothing and I don't have any more time to waste.
Well, anyway, the pictures in my photo album is marked have the caption, well there are two different captions. “Before we go to Contan” and “Before we go to Vinkällaren”   I remember that I was lying on the floor at Vinkällaren or whatever the place was called. I can't remember if they kicked me out but I don't thinks so. We were back in our friend's apartment when everything was closed in Ängelholm. And the places in Ängelholm wasn't open very late. According to my photo album we had a BBQ at my friend's apartment. +++++++++++++++
Friday 2nd of August 1985 and we had planned to go drink beer at Klitterhus. I drove the car from Båstad to my friend's apartment in Ängelholm where I would park the car overnight. No driving when drinking! We meet in my friend's apartment where we were waiting for a friend coming home for the weekend leave from his military service.
At Klitterhus and I think the pub in the basement was called Fiskestugan

Friday 9th of August 1985 and I was going to meet a few friends at Råbocka in Ängelholm before  going to yes, Klitterhus. Klitterhus and ask me if it was nice to move to Go:teborg to start a new school. Never mind how drunk I was, Klitterhus was never any fun.
We were sitting at Råbocka enjoying the nice weather. Råbocka, I think it was a  camping site in Ängelholm, but I don't know why we were sitting in the grass drinking beer and vodka. I think it was because it is more or less a Swedish tradition to drink in the parks during the summer time.

Never mind why we were sitting there. But we were drinking beers enjoying ourselves and our friend came down with his motorcycle later on in the evening. My last picture is from Klitterhus where I meet one of the guys from Helsingborg's Boxing Club. Well, it was more than a year since I was at Helsingborg's Boxing Club so it was fun to meet him.

Sunday 10th of August 1985 and it was my Grandfathers birthday. And yet again, I don't  understand why we're celebrating birthdays. It was fun with the gifts until you were 13. Now I can buy what I want and I for sure don't want to be reminded about how old I'm getting.
Well, anyway, birthday celebration is  an old tradition and I can't say that I meet many people sharing my views about birthday and Christmas celebrations.
I think the school started on the 26th of August and my Grandparents were busy trying to find me an apartment in Göteborg. They had friends in Göteborg and we drove to Göteborg to meet them. They had found an apartment for me so we had to look at  the apartment.
We drove to Göteborg on E6 and back then the highway ended at the border between Skåne and Halland just North of Båstad. The road was very narrow and in poor condition from Skåne up to Varberg. From somewhere North of Varberg to Göteborg there was a highway again. Today it is highway all the way.
When I'm driving alone I make Båstad to Göteborg in about 1 hour, but when my Grand parents were in the car it took us 3 hours + + to get to Göteborg. So  my Grandparents had brought a food box and a stop was required on the way to Göteborg. Well, I was impatient in a hurry to get back home and I was jumping up and down. I was not looking forward to Göteborg and I wanted to get back home to Skåne ASAP.

I don't remember how many times we drove to Göteborg, but it was at least one time. We meet my Grandparent's friends. And it was the last couple that found me the apartment. They have a summer house in Båstad next to our house and one of their neighbours in Göteborg had an apartment. The apartment was empty, they just rented it for their son so he would have an apartment when he started his studies at the university. But he was not going to university for several years so instead of having to pay rent for a empty unused apartment I could rent the apartment.

Friday 16th of August 1985 and we were having a few drinks in one of my friend's  apartments in Ängelholm. I remember this evening very well. We arrived to our friend's apartment and as soon as I step inside I say:
 - I recognise this apartment!
- You have been here before  - Have I??!! When?
- Don't you remember? Well, I had been in Ängelholm with my friend back in June or July. We had left Båstad with a few bottles of Captain Morgan. And we went to visit my friend's friend in Ängelholm, the very same friend we were at this night. To make a long story short: We finished the Captain Morgan and I remember  f@ck all. But coming back I recognised the apartment.
No one was embarrassed, well, maybe his neighbours had been a wee bit up set last time we were there drinking Captain Morgan. I'm not sure, but I think I remember something about a bottle falling down from the balcony. It was something about the balcony anyway. My guess is that we were  pretty drunk when we left our friend's apartment in the evening to get to Klitter.
I meet a girl at Klitter hus and they invited me to a cray fish party at Kävlinge just outside Ängelholm the day after
  drunk. I remember that I meet a girl and they were having a cray fish party at Kävlinge.
- Kävlinge?? Where the duck is that? I had no clue, but the girl told me that it was a place just outside Ängelholm. - A few minutes with taxi. They were going to have the crayfish party at a soccer field in Kävlinge and there were going to be plenty people having a good time. I was drunk and it sounded like a great idea. - Of course I will come! This sounds like the best plan ever!  When Klitterhus closed we went to my friend's apartment to sleep. I was in no state to drive back to Båstad so I slept on my friend's sofa.

Saturday 17th of August 1985 and I must have woke up in my friend's sofa. I think I drove back to Båstad or if I took a taxi to Båstad. But I parked my car at my friend in the afternoon and I took a taxi to Kävlinge and the crayfish party.
 Kävlinge before we left for  Ängelholm. And according to my pictures I meet some of my friends outside Contan in Ängelholm city centre in the evening.
I don't remember if I left Kävlinge alone or with 2 of the guys. I remember that I called one of them the legionary and  we were at Contan and we were not sober.
I don't remember where I slept, most likely where I had parked my car.

Sunday 18th of August 1985 and I must have woke up in my friend's sofa. I remember that we drove to Helsingborg to get some money from a friend that owed me money after having lost them playing Monopoly or poker.
 then we were gambling about everything so we were soon gambling again.
I remember one time, we were almost playing Monopoly for 24 hours. We were around 18 years old and that is not an age that you spend every day playing monopoly so I guess our parents suspected that we were playing with real money. We came up with speed monopoly, speed poker and when this was too slow we just rolled the dices. It took me 2 minutes to lose the 900 and, well, shit happens. Driving back to Ängelholm and we had Nina Hagen on full blast and the gambling incident was forgotten. +++++++++++++++
Friday 23rd of August 1985 and I was going to meet a few friends to play a wine board game. A  kind of Monopoly without money but with wine.
This was my last weekend in Skåne before moving to Göteborg. I drove to Helsingborg to pick up my friends. Then we were going to Hyllinge outside Helsingborg to pick up another friend. The only thing I remember from Hyllinge is that we found Rick Dee and the Disco Duck record at my friend's house  and we played the record before we left for Ängelholm.
It was five of us and a few cases of wine when we left  Hyllinge and the spirit was high.
We parked my car outside the park, don't ask me which park it was. But there can only have been one or two parks in Ängelholm. I was driving so I could not drink, but my friends were tipsy when we arrived. I would park the car in Ängelholm over night, at least this was the plan and we were going to finish the wine before we left the park. It was a  beautiful afternoon and it didn't take long  before we were dead drunk.
One of my friends woke up next to a creek outside Ängelholm when an old lady woke him up asking him what happened. I spent the night in her sofa. My friend from Landskrona don't remember how he got home and Landskrona is far away from Ängelholm. 
 sat foot at the place and believe me. I have not missed it. I remember that I met a few guys and one of them  were sober and we went to get my car and we drove to Helsingborg.
According to my pictures I met an old class mate in Helsingborg and the picture is marked with Avenyn so this must obviously have  been a place in Helsingborg.
My last picture from this adventure is taken when I'm going to sleep in my car. It was perfect to have the car, always a place to sleep at. And when I was 20 it was no problem to wake up in a car, but today it would have killed me. Well, this was my last weekend before moving to Göteborg. Sunday 25th of August 1985 and I'm not sure about the date we started school, but I'm almost  certain that it was on the 26th of August 1985, a  Monday and that means that I moved in to my apartment on Sunday 25th of August.
And I remember it as being a very beautiful day   mobile phones and to get a telephone line in the apartment wasn't something that happened over night.
So I had to go find a telephone  booth and I walked along the road until I found a telephone booth. I called my friend. - Where are you?
- I have no f@cking clue
I looked around and there was a sign saying Slottskogsvallen on a fence surrounding a soccer field. - OK, I will come to pick you up
I was laying in the grass waiting for my friend and it was a very beautiful afternoon so I enjoyed myself. I don't remember what we did, but I remember that I wanted to walk back home so I could learn to know the city of Göteborg. And I was walking, I never thought that I was going find it back home. And I didn't know the address. DARN! I managed to find my way home, but it took a few hours. But it was fun at the same time, no matter what direction a walked and it was uncharted territory for me  +++++++++++++++
Monday 26th of August 1985 and we would start by getting information about the school and we were gathering at the concert hall on Götaplatsen for some information about Chalmers. Our first semester would not start until 9th of september. The first years schedule looked like this:

I didn't had a clue and I was searching internet, but I came up  with nothing. So I tried to write to Chalmers and they send me information. And of course, I have put them as PDF (Swedish only) on my web page so you can read them.
Syllabuses - School of Nautical Science, First year Course prospectus I had my morning tea before walking to Mariaplan to get the tram to Avenyn. Of course, I had prepared myself by looking up where the concert hall and Götaplatsen was located. Tram #4 would take me all the way  to Götaplatsen, or almost all the way. I was lucky, I had line #4 going from Mariaplan to Avenyn and it was 100 meter to walk to Götaplatsen.
In Helsingborg we paid when we got of the city bus at the school and I stepped up on the tram and I when we reached Avenyn I went forward to pay the driver. - What the
He was surprised, in Göteborg you pay when you get on the tram and he must have wondered what  village idiot they had brought to town. Well, anyway, it was a beautiful morning and it was nice to walk up Avenyn  towards the concert hall at Götaplatsen.
There were plenty people outside the concert hall so it was easy to find, even for me that was here for the first time. I think we gathered outside the concert hall when they were finished and we walked to our school to have a look. I ended up talking with a guy and it turned out that he was from Landskrona in Skåne. +++++++++++++++
Tuesday 27th of August 1985 and our first day in school. Introduction course and we would study math. It was a voluntary course, but I wanted to take the course and it would give me a good  chance to learn the school and to get used to school work.
I meet the guy from Landskrona, Skåne. The only one I knew in my class. Well, I didn't know him, but I had met him yesterday. Well, anyway, always nice with  people from Skåne and we were more interested in checking out the night life in Göteborg than to see the school. And as it was an introduction course it was relaxed and math isn't so hard and we were soon at Systembolaget where we bought wine and Whiskey.
My friend drinks Whiskey and as I don't like Whiskey he had to finish the bottle by himself while I was pouring down white wine. Of course, I don't remember where we went, but we had lined up how the rest of our school time would look like. Mostly party. september 1985

Monday 2nd of September 1985 and a friend from Helsingborg is in Göteborg to take a forklift  truck driving license. And he was not affraid to discover the night life in Göteborg and we started in my apartment by playing vinspelet.
And my class mate from Skåne was soon showing up as well. He didn't live so far away from me. And I lived in my student room when he finished school as I had been thrown out from the apartment. But that's another story. We finished a couple of bottles with white wine  before we left for town.
I never used the tram service as I walked to school so when it was time to take the tram to town we got on the wrong tram. Line 3 and 4 is going from Mariaplan and both of them are going to town. But different routes so if we wanted to go to town they departed in different directions from the tram stop. Of course, we got on line 3 leaving in the direction  to town, if we would have been on line 4. But number 3  took us to Frölunda, definitely not the place we wanted to end up at.
When we discovered our mistake we got off the tram and we had to wait  for the returning tram to take us back to Mariaplan, or if we took line 3 all the way to town via Mariaplan.
I don't remember where we went, but there are pictures of us drinking beer at a Pizzeria on Avenyn Avenyn is the showpiece of Göteborg and whenever you ask anyone from Göteborg what there is to do in Göteborg it is always the same answers they come up with.  - There is plenty to do!
- What? - Drink beer on Avenyn - And more? - There is plenty to do..... - Yeah, but what? - .... to drink beer on Avenyn It didn't take many days before I grew tired of Avenyn. Today it is much better in Göteborg and there are plenty nice places in the Western part of town. Well, at least last time I was in town. But now I'm too old for running on the pubs every day. And back then there were queues to  get in to the places. No sneakers and jeans allowed so it was a big difference for me coming from Skåne where things was a wee bit more relaxed.
And it didn't take me long before I was banned from most of the places. The bouncers recognised me after a while and it was STOP at the door most of the times. And thinking back I can't say that I miss the place, the only  thing I miss is my youth.
My friend slept in my sofa even though the company paid for his hotel. He finished his course and he went back to Skåne. But this was not the last we saw of him in Göteborg. He and his friend were to return many times for more beer and party. +++++++++++++++
Friday 6th of September 1985 and one of my class mates was living in Uddevalla north of Göteborg  and he commuted every day. Friday night and the school had arranged a drinking event. I remember f@ck all even though I have the pictures. I just made a remark “In my apartment before going to the school pub” in my photo album.
But my friend had obviously skipped the train back to Uddevalla and he followed me home where we had a few drinks before we took off to the school pub. And 6th of September must have been the last day on our voluntary Introduction course in math. So school would start on Monday and things were going to get serious.  Well, turned out that it was not so serious, but that's  another story.
I didn't take any pictures after we left my apartment so I don't even know if we ended up at the school pub. And if we did we were  most likely leaving early.
These schools event usually turns out to be pretty boring  and we were most likely more interested in discovering the night life in Göteborg as I was new in town.
Well, never mind, I only have 4 pictures from this day and they were all taken in my apartment. But I discovered that I had white shoes back then. Wasn't that against the law? Should have been. +++++++++++++++
Friday 13th of September 1985 and I stayed yet another weekend in Göteborg instead of taking the train back home to Båstad in Skåne. The students' union had arranging a rowing contest as  part of the ragging or hazing or whatever they call it. The first weeks of school there were all kinds of stunts for the new students. Pub-crawling so the  new students moving in to Göteborg learned to know the city. Party and entertainments almost every day and this rowing contest was one of the stunts.
Well, anyway, the rowing contest was on Saturday and one of my class mates had a friend visiting from Skåne and we had a few drinks in my apartment before going to town. +++++++++++++++
Saturday 14th of September 1985 and we had been drinking beers Friday night so I think I missed the rowing contest. But we were going to meet at a restaurant for a few beers after the rowing contest and I made it to the beer meeting early afternoon.

We were going to meet at a Mongolian restaurant on Stora Badhus Gatan close to Sjöbefälsskolan. I  think it was a Mongolian restaurant, it was a Mongolian restaurant 1989. But according to my pictures it looks like a Chinese or Mongolian restaurant.
We were drinking beer and we had a good time, but I had to return home because I was waiting for a class mate to come to my place. And the rest of the guys from the Mongolian restaurant decided to join me. My friend was waiting outside my apartment reading a comic when we arrived and we were soon inside and it didn't take long before we were playing vinspelet.

I and my friend decided to go for a few beers on town when we finished vinspelt. Me and my  friend took the tram to the city but as he was drunk we got off the  tram at Masthuggstorget so he could throw up.
Masthuggstorget is just next to Stena Lines ferry terminal for the ferries to Denmark. I saw the funnel of a ferry and I asked my friend where the ferry was going. - To Denmark - How many hours to go there? - A few - Is it fun? We decided to go for a trip to Denmark, this should be very fun and a lot of people from Göteborg spent the Saturday nights going back and  forth to Denmark. The never got off the ferry in Denmark. Just stayed onboard drinking beer and party.
If I remember it right there  was a Pub and a disco. Of course there was a restaurant and it was not very fun onboard.
And we never did the trip to Denmark again, at least not going back and forth for the fun of it. But I have been on the ferry after this, but then my destination have been Denmark or Göteborg coming back home from Denmark. And yes, it happened that we were drinking beers onboard the ferry.

Friday 20th of September 1985 and it was time for me to go back to Skåne and I went straight to the train station when we finished school Friday afternoon. It was a 5 minutes' walk from school to the  train station in Göteborg. Down from Kvarnberget and through “Femman huset” and I was at the train station.
I was going to Helsingborg to visit my friends but I got off the train in Båstad to leave my bag and I took the car from Båstad to Helsingborg.

I parked my car outside my friend's apartment and it didn't take long before I had a beer in front  of me. According to my pictures we had planned to go to Rockpiren. And when thinking back I really can't  understand why we thought this was a nice place to be at.
Most likely because I always meet people I knew. Rockpiren had a transportation service with a minibus leaving from Hamntorget. It was 5 minutes with the mini bus from Hamntorget to Rockpiren. Handy when coming back from Denmark, waiting for a taxi could turn out to take a long time so the minibus was an excellent service. But driving the bus must have been terrible, imagine a minibus full of drunk people and you're sober driving the darn thing.

Saturday 21st of September 1985 and I was most likely waking up in my friend's apartment. It  was a gloomy and grey day with rain according to the picture I took at Hälsovägen/ Kopparmöllegata intersection when I drove back to Båstad.
And what a pointless picture to take, this must have been the last picture in my camera and I wanted to finish the film so I could leave the film for development. And of course, I needed a new film in my camera in case we were going to drink more beer. But I don't have any pictures from this Saturday so I might have stayed at home, or I might have forgotten my camera at home. +++++++++++++++
Wednesday 26th of September 1985 and after 3 days in school it was time for a beer.
 Bacardi so he brought a bottle and as there wasn't any Diet MAX back then we mixed the Bacardi with cola.
And we finished the bottle before leaving for town. We were most likely not going straight to Erolls, but this is the place where I ended up.
And I don't remember if my friends was with me at Erolls, they were more in to Disco and disco was not to be found at Erolls. And I can't remember me going to the places more than 1 or 2 times.

Thursday 27th of September 1985 and I don't know if I made it to school. I doubt that I was in school for the 8 o'clock class and if I went to school it was most likely to the afternoon classes. I have no notes in my photo album of where we went in the evening.

Friday 4th of October 1985 and we finished the school week with English class. We had to sit at  screened off desks with some kind of tape recorder and we had to talk in a microphone and listening in head phones.
But I remember that it was nice when we finished class and I could walk home. And  this very Friday I went straight for Systembolaget to buy beer. I had two friends coming up to visit me from Skåne on Saturday and we needed beer.
I went to Systembolaget at Karl Johans Gatan/ Slottskogs Gatan and as always, millions of people  on a Friday afternoon. While waiting I recignised a guy. DARN!  Haven't I meet him in Mölle 5 years ago? I asked him and yes it was the same guy. And when I started to talk with him he recognised me and we ended up in my apartment drinking beer and later o we went to town for more beer. But I have no clue where we went.

Saturday 5th of October 1985 and my friends arrived to Göteborg in the afternoon. One of them  was studying in Lund with his girl friend and his girlfriend lived in Göteborg. So they dropped her at her parents before continuing to my apartment.
And it took less than a minute for us to have a open can of Carlsberg in our hands when they arrived.
  apartment. Lilla London was a, well, it was one of the few places that let me in so there wasn't very many  places to choose from. I don't know how I managed to do it, but I had not been living in Göteborg for long before I was refused at  most of the places in town. Yeah, thinking about it, why would anyone want to spend time at White Corner if they were not banned from all the other places in town.

Sunday 6th of October 1985 and my friend was in my apartment when I came home. But his younger brother was missing and we waited for him to show up. When he didnt showed up his older brother called the girl friend.
- Hello, is my brother with you?
- No, isn't he with you
- No he is missing

What to do? He was missing and we were waiting and we had to cll the girl friend to check. He arrived a few hours later and he was not happy when he found out that his brother had called his girlfriend. I can imagine the festive mood in the car when they drove back home to Skåne. +++++++++++++++
Monday 7th of October 1985 and I remember running in to my friend from Uddevalla coming up  from the stairs from Packhuskajen to Kvarnberget.
He was going to stay in Göteborg over night instead of taking the train back home to Uddevalla. We had  planned to go drink beer in Göteborg in the evening and he would sleep on my sofa.
Monday night in Göteborg wasn't anything to write home about. Yeah, White Corner and I feel sick everytime I'm thinking about that place. And The Golden Days Monday special

So we started in my apartment with a few beers and I wound be surprised if it turns out that we  were drinking wine as well. But we were tipsy when we left for town. We had decided to go to The Golden Days  and try out the “Monday special”
“Monday special” were Smoked or raw spiced salmon (Gravlax) and dill creamed potatoes. 17 Swedish Scooby Doo dollars, very cheap for being in Sweden back in the 80's. But of course we spent 1000 Scooby Doo dollars on beer so they made a good deal out of it.  And when we were finished at The Golden Days we went to Gammle Port or White Corner and today  (2011, 2 more days and it is 2012) I'm still wondering why we bothered go to these places. I even have nightmares about these two places are the only places to have beer in the whole world.
Yes, and everything closed at 1 o'clock if I remembers it right. Well, the only thing with White Corner was that the taxi station was just  outside. But again, this was the 80's and the taxi service was run by Göteborg taxi and they were the only ones  allowed to provide taxi service. So there were long queues at the taxi station. And during the weekends it could take hours to get a taxi. Nice in the winter.
Today it is a different story, anyone can start a taxi company and you have a taxi by the snap of your fingers. And back in the days you had to wait for your taxi, but when you finally were in the taxi  the driver knew the place you asked for. Today you get a taxi by the snap of your fingers and now you spend as much time as when you were waiting back in the days for the driver to find your address.
What do I prefer? Well, waiting is for free. But then, in the winter time I prefer to pay a little extra and wait comfortable in the taxi. I don't know how it is today, but when I was in Göteborg a few years back I always went by MINI Taxi or Taxi Kurir. And if you ever comes to Göteborg avoid the Scooby Doo taxis at the airport and train station.   Just a tip! Well, anyway, back to Göteborg 1985. We were most likely not spending so much time waiting for a taxi outside White Corner because it was a Monday and there wasn't very much people on town. And that's even thought he had the “Monday special” at The Golden Days.
I don't remember if we went to school the day after, but I'm  pretty sure that we didn't showed up for the first morning class even though we were young back then.   death so we went to buy beers at Systembolaget. Then we walked back to my friend's apartment and we were soon drunk and life was fun again. I don't know how we came up with the idea, but we decided that Torsdags Klubben would have a meeting every Thursday from now on.

I remember that the girl found me in the wardrobe. And yes, we must have left my class mate's apartment because they were at the door ready to leave. - Where is Aladdin? And this was not a big apartment, one room and one kitchen. And obviously a wardrobe in which I was. But they managed to find me. Well, anyway, the lat picture is the one of me in the wardrobe so I don't know where we ended up. But i knew that we repeated this every Thursday for the rest of the school year. We might have missed a few times, but there were a lot of meetings on other days so we had our share of party during our school years. +++++++++++++++
Friday 18th of October 1985 and my friend came over for a few beers in the evening. I knew him from back when he lived in Skåne. He was in the same class as my brother in the nine-year compulsory school. But now he lived in Go:teborg. The very same guy I met at Majvallen on my first day moving to Go:teborg.
Yes, Friday afternoon coming home from school and I always stopped at Systembolaget to buy one or two cases of beer those Friday's I didn't walked to the train station to take the train to Skåne. I walked home and Systembolaget was on the way. So I had to walk the last kilometre carrying a case or two of 45cl cans of Carlsberg.  
We had a few beers at my place before we left to explore the night life of Go:teborg. And it looks like we ended up at Lilla London. There were 3 places that would let me in for sure even though I  had been there before. Or almost for sure. White Corner, Cometen and Lilla London and Lilla  London was the funniest place out of the three so it says a whole lot about the other places.
The only thing I remember from this evening is that I ended  up in Västra Frölunda, a suburb just West of Go:teborg. And why do I remember  this?
Well, we ended up in an apartment with a few girls and there was a guy that started to knock holes in the wall with a big axe. But we started with Findus Fiskpinnar and suddenly the guy started to knock holes in the wall with the axe. And I was like “HEY MAN!! WHAT'S GOING ON?”

I remember sleeping in a very small bed and I had to share the bed with one of the girls. The  “Axe man” was a sleep in the sofa so I didn't expect waking up by any noises from him trying to knock down the walls with the fire axe.

Saturday 19th of October 1985 and I woke up in Västra Frölunda and the first thing to do was to  cover the holes in the wall with mirrors.
Yeah, I don't think we have any problem imaging how I felt waking up in Västra Frölunda. And back then I never had any problems with any hangover and I can imagine waking up there today, 100000 times worse. But 1985 and I just went back home for a shower and a new set of clothes and 2 of my friends came over and we were soon having a bottle of Bacardi on the table.

Yes, this is almost 30 years ago and it is strange how much I remember when I'm looking  at my pictures. I remember that we took the tram to Avenun from my place when the Bacardi bottle (or bottles) was empty.
My friend was wearing a coat and I remember that he was wearing his pullover over the coat and when we arrived to Avenyn he tried to wear the pullover as trousers And when I check out the pictures I discover that my friend has a bottle of Bacardi in his coat pocket so we had obviously not finished all the booze before leaving for town. And it makes sense, we had to spend 15 minutes on the tram to get to town so why risking a hangover when we can bring a  little something to enjoy on the  journey.
Of course, no music on the tram, but we managed to entertain our self. And we were 20 years back then so it was OK. Imagine doing the same thing today, the Police would have showed up  around the corner with the blue light on in a jiff. Different social rules when you're 20. We arrived to Avenyn and my friend took a piss against a container first thing. Yet another thing you could do when 20 years old.

I don't remember where we went and I doubt that we were let in to any places in Go:teborg. But I remember us hanging around Pressbyrån outside Valand. And if they saw us from Valand or Lilla London they were for sure not letting us in.

Well, I bought my snus and I don't remember where we went after that. But I had snus and that  was the most important.
And when I'm thinking back I can only remember the 3 places mentioned before where we could have a chance to get in. Cometen, Lilla London and White Corner. And Gammle Port, but Gammle Port was a real emergency place. Yes, the night life in Go:teborg back then left a whole lot to wish for.  - YO! My friend is visiting and Torsdags Klubben have an extra meeting. Come over for a drink!

OK, it wasn't all that hard to talk me in to coming over for a drink. And when I arrived it turned out that his friend was from Skåne.

Well, I was at my friend's apartment next to our school a few minutes later and it didn't take me  long to get tipsy.
I meet my friend's friend for the first time and if I remembers it right he was from Skåne. At least he got married to a girl from Skåne a few years later.

And if I had marked my photo album with Dojan it must have been Dojan we went to. I was keeping  my photo album up to date, at least those days I remember where we went.
And my last picture for the evening is from (most likely) a taxi taking me back home. Then I could go to the photo shop at Mariaplan to get my film developed first thing the day after. The photo shop was just a minute away from my apartment and the owner told me that I was his best customer. Always with a new film to develop, and if I didn't had any film to develop I had lost my camera and I bought a new camera at is place. +++++++++++++++
Saturday 26th of October 1985 and I knew a guy from Mölle, well, he was from Lerhamn, but he  lived in Mölle and he was in a boat building school on Orust North of Go:teborg. So he had to pass through Go:teborg when he drove back home to Mölle.
Well, anyway, he called me and asked if he could sleep in my sofa. - No problem
- OK, I see you on Saturday.
He came in the afternoon and he expected to experience  some extravagant night life in Go:teborg. I don't know if he was impressed by Lilla London. Because this was the place I took him to make sure that we were allowed inside a place in Go:teborg for him to see.

Well, luckily enough they let us in at Lilla London, it would have been embarrassing to show him the  town if we would have been rejected at all the places we have tried  to get in to.
And at Lilla London there was a guy trying to pick up a girl by singing to her. Well, a little embarrassing to wake up after a night singing for  the girls at Lilla London. But we had a good time and I don't remember it, but according to my pictures we  ended up at New Yaki or if it was Yaki Da across Avenyn from Lilla London.
Yeah, I remember one thing from my years in  Go:teborg, I never learned the difference between New Yaki and Yaki Da. One place was at Trädgården and the other place was at Avenyn.
Well, both places were discos, or night clubs, and I  can't say that I'm the disco guy. And hey, remember the music they played at the discos back in the 80's? It was terrible.
But today the music from the 80's is quite OK to listen to, strange. Well, our guy from Orust on his way to Mölle found himself surrounded by girls at New Yaki so it was a good evening. And I met the guy that had knocked holes in the walls in Västra Frölunda with an axe. I don't remember where, but I got a picture.
He slept on my sofa and he continued his journey to Mölle on Sunday. I was not green of envy, I had no wishes to sit in a car for a few hours driving to Mölle. November 1985

Friday 1st of November 1985 and WOW, did November start well or what? I trashed the car in  Mölle. My friend had a boat and he was going to Denmark to buy beer.

We had been in compulsory school together from grade 4 to 9 and he was still living in Mölle. They were taking his boat to Denmark to buy beer and they would throw a party in Mölle Friday night. - Count me in! I took the train from Go:teborg to Båstad and from there I took the car to Mölle to pick up my beers and to meet my friends. I drove to my friend's house and we left to the marina to pick up the beers. There was the 5 of us in the car if I remember it right. My friend with the boat and another class mate from compulsory school. We drove along Strandvägen when my old class mate told the others the story when he was to pick me up at the driving school after my first driving lesson.  - I was waiting at the school when Aladdin returned and he was sitting in the passenger seat!!

They were all screaming of laughter and I said “what the f@ck” and I floored the pedal coming down Strandvägen in supersonic speed and we reach the curve to the marina. There were some gravel on the pavement and I realised that I was going to lose control over the car. I was moving straight for a wall and I remember that I had to choose between the wall or a lamp post. An easy decision and I hit the light pool. In Sweden it is safety first and all lamp post bend down along the ground when you hit them.  The car turned in to a wreck in less than a second

So I had the car parked over the lying lamp post. The guys in the car were laughing even more now. Well, they were chocked at first, but when they realised that we were OK it was a laughs   again. I came up with the good idea to back of the lamp post and leave the area quicker than we had arrived. We could still make it to my friend's boat and the beer. PARTY!!
Yeah, a great idea and I put the car in reverse and I backed off the lamp post. Well, almost all the way off. When I came to the end the darn lamp post rose again and the front of the car was hanging on the lamp post. Impossible to get off the lamp post and I realised that I would never be able to go get our beers. Well, anyway, I threw myself out of the car and I started to take pictures for my photo album and then I went to knock on the door to the closest house. I needed to call for a tow truck. When I came back the Police had arrived and I remember thinking that there was a lot of Polices in the car. But I discovered that it was my friends sitting in the police car. There was a hullaballoo at  the scene and later on when the Police drove me to the old train station in Mölle to questioning me they asked where the blood came from
- What blood? - Around the car - Must been you beaten my friends. My friend was taken to Helsingborg in the Police car and I could read in the  news paper the day after that they had been thrown out of the car at Sofiero.
“Blah/blah-bla.... Accident in Mölle and 2 youngsters, known by the Police from before, were taken to Helsingborg Police station. But they made so much trouble that the Police had to let them off at Sofiero” Well, I had to call a taxi to get to Helsingborg and I met yet another one of my old class mates from compulsory school. He was driving the taxi and we took off to meet my friends at Rockpiren in Helsingborg.

Coming back home to Båstad on Saturday or Sunday was not a nice experience. The Police had called my Grandparents about the accident and blah-blah-bla. The Police had asked how a “NICE STUDENT” had ended up in such a bad company. Yeah, this was exactly what I wanted to run in to. And one of the guys that had been with us in the accident got motocross cycle of his parents after the incident. - Now you can entertain yourself with the motorcycle so you don't hang with these guys anymore +++++++++++++++
Monday 4th of November 1985 and I was back in Go:teborg after my weekend in Skåne and my friends had obviously experienced a boring weekend in Go:teborg because they came over Monday night for a few drinks in my apartment.

It looks like we had some wine before we left for the tram stop. Tram #4 and we could have taken  the tram from Mariaplan but we choose to turn in the other direction. There was a beautiful girl living at this stop and since I discovered that she took the tram 0730 something I started to take the tram to school every day.
And I was always using this stop instead of the stop at Mariaplan. Well, I guess I was lucky that she didn't show up this evening. Monday night and strangely enough we were not the only ones drunk onboard the tram to the city.

There was the guy with a guitar and I seen him many times after this. Always the same bag and jacket. Last time I saw him must have been at Dragrodden May 1986.
Well, anyway, we played the guitar all the way to town and we got off the tram at Brunnsparken. Yes, outside The Golden Days and it was  Monday so they had their Monday night special salmon and we stepped inside.
This was the second and last time for me having the Monday night special at The Golden Days. I was back at The Golden Days a few years later but only for beer. And one thing is for sure, when we got our bill the salmon was not a big part of it. Actually, the salmon could as well have been for free. I remember this evening,  we ended up at White Corner and there was a guy or 2 with guitar playing and singing.
I remember that I got over excited and I ended up on the table. Well, I don't remember this, but  I remember that there was a girl coming over to our table.

I don't know if she was serious or if it just was a very bad pick up line. Or maybe she felt lonely. So she moves over to the table where Mr. Handsome was performing his moves and lack of something clever to say make her ask if we had to destroy the party. Well, we felt on the floor screaming of laughter and when we had picked us self up from the floor she was gone.

Yes, Monday night excitements in Go:teborg 1985 didn't had much to offer. But of course, it is a  matter on how drunk you are. After  12 beers it was quite fun so I had to drink the first 12 beers in a jiff.
And after 12 beers pretty much everything was fun, even at White Corner. Not much people on a Monday night in Go:teborg and the taxi station  was just outside White Corner so I guess I was back home 20 to 30 minutes after closing time. School, well, I was young back then but I can't remember me ever being in school for the first lesson after a night out.
But we were adults so we were in school with a responsibility. And that was doing the exams and between exams we could do pretty much what we wanted to do. +++++++++++++++
Wednesday 6th of November 1985 and I remember this day very well. Strange, almost 30 years ago and I remember being home when my friend called me. Well, not so strange, back then there weren't any mobile phones so if you received any phone calls you were at home.
- YO! My friend is in town with their ship. Come join us for party.
- What the ? Every day ... OK, I'll be over... 
I knocked on my friend's door a few minutes later and we went to pick up his friend on the ship. They were waiting for better weather or something at the jetty in Majorna. Stenkajen or whatever the name was. We stepped onboard and the first guy we meet was a Motorman I knew from Helsingborg. He showed us the engine room, pink main engine and light blue deck. Nice!

But we were not there to look at an old ship. We were there to pick up my friend's friend and the Motorman from Helsingborg joined us. We took a taxi to Gamle Port. Yeah, Gamle Port and White Corner, I could as well have studied in Kalmar with 1 pub that closed at 11 o'clock in the evening. I'm not sure, but I think I would have saved quite a lot of money.

My friend, the Motorman started to show his tattoos after a few beers. Well, I can't remember  anyone being impressed. We had a good time and we were soon ending up at White Corner. And I remember that I was crawling around on the floor biting people in the legs under the table.
Of course, this is nothing you can do, not even at White Corner and I remember that they were going to kick me out from the place. But I remember that I managed to hide and we could stay and we had plenty more beers. But I remember the girl, we were at the table drinking beers and suddenly I was gone. She wondering where I went and a few seconds later she is screaming. I'm under the table biting her in the leg. And she gave me the full song and dance on how dangerous it was getting bitten. - A human bite is much more dangerous than a dog bite  - Ah ha, OK.
But this was soon forgotten and no one was embarrassed and we could continue to have a good time.

 at White Corner and the girls shows upWednesday night might have been a wee bit more crowded than a Monday night, but I doubt that I had to wait for very long for a taxi. Go:teborge 1985, sitting at Gamle Port thinking that it can't get much worse. Then I find myself at White Corner and it is just to realise that things can turn much worse in life, and quickly as well. So the 12 beers rule applies all the time. You don't expect it to get any worse after White corner, but you never know so stay drunk.

Thursday 7th of November 1985 and I don't remember me going to school that day. But I  remember my friend coming over to record  some tapes. Yes, back then we had tapes and LP records.
Already back in 1985 I had my music treasure and my class mate was over to record some of my music. I'm pretty sure it was on the 7th of November that he was at my place to make the record. We were usually out drinking on Thursdays but as we have had 2 nights on town already we decided to stay home this very Thursday. Yeah, even if I was 20 I had not the  energy to party every night of the week. And on top of that I had to attend to my school work.
I remember that one of my other classmates came over later on in the evening. He lived across the street from me and he had been at the red light at Mariaplan when the car behind him had started to flash the light. My friend stepped on it believing that the light had turned to green. Well, it hadn't and it was the police behind him. So they stopped him and driving against red light is a serious crime in Sweden. Back then it was a fine only, but today they take your driving license.  Why do they all have to come home to me early morning?

Thursday 14th of November 1985 and I had 2 friends coming to visit me from Skåne. They were  arriving with the train from Skåne so I was at the Cocktail bar at the railway station waiting for them  with my friend. My class mate had been working with one of my friends on a ship. We were looking forward to meet them.
Back then there was a cocktail bar at Go:teborg's train station, but this cocktail bar have been closed for several years. There was the Pub and the Cocktail place. But then they closed the Cocktail place. I can't remember ever being back there after 1985/ 86. Well, anyway, we had a few beers while waiting and when our friends  arrived with the train we had a few beers before we went home to my apartment.
I think my friend's were going to stay at my place over night so we needed to go home and leave their bags. But first we had several beers at the Cocktail place. And strange, a place like this and while writing this I'm searching the internet for information about Cocktail baren and I come up with ZIP.  At least there should be something mentioned about Cocktail baren, an important waterhole in Go:teborg back in 1985.
Never mind, I think we can live without that information. When we were back at my place we had a few more drinks before we returned to DOWN TOWN Go:teborg to explore the exciting night life.

And when I see the picture I can see my helmet and I remember that I took my driving licence for motorcycle during the autumn. They were changing the rules for motorcycle 1st of January 1986  and I wanted to have my driving licence before January 1986.
And what I remember from the driving school? There was a beautiful girl working there and one time when she called me. Well, several times, and I answered TELEPHONE and she just hang up on me. She never mentionad anything when I came for my driving lessons. Well, anyway, it looks like we took the tram to the city, at least according to my pictures. But I have no idea where we went.

Saturday 16th of November 1985 and my friend the boat builder was coming from Orust and he would stay one night in Go:teborg before he would continue to Mölle. And my class mate came over for a drink. And I'm 100% sure that I lost my camera Friday night. The quality of the pictures is nothing to write home about. But it is a remarkable improvement comparing from Thursday night. So I must have bought a new camera.

 We had a few drinks, well, it looks like we had quite a few before we left for town. My friends  wanted to eat and we ended up at Hotel Windsor at Avenyn, at least according to my photo album.
It was quite late so when we finished our dinner we went to New Yaki or Yaki Da, I never learn the difference between the 2 places. But we went to the place next door, or a few doors away from Hotel Windsor. Well, anyway, I was surprised, they were letting me inside. I was not old enough to get inside, but my friends were old enough to compensate for my youth. The bouncer asked how old I was. I had told him that I didn't have any ID. - No problem, you can go inside. I passed the door and the bouncer asked how old I was - Just a formality - Jag e 20 år och luktar kiss (I'm 20 and I smell of piss)  Of course, my friends were disappointed

Yes, we were back on the street faster than we had got inside and my friends had been looking  forward to some disco action.
- Who wants to hang out with those old timers? According to my photo album we ended up at a place called Djonken. And I remember it as it was on Avenyn. I also remember that we meet a girl that was bragging about her darn underwear. She told me that she had spent 10000 on underwear. I had also spent money on underwear, not as much and they was for sure nothing to get excited about. - I spent 15 spänn on my underwear, I told her.  We had to go to a place called Djonken instead

My friends grew bored when I spent all the time with the girl and they left Djonken and me behind.  - Hey, I'm coming
- You're better of entertaining the girl. I don't remember what I did after Djonken, but I have a picture and it says that I meet Mr. Valand in my photo album. I don't know why I called him Mr. Valland, but I meet the guys a few times and most likely at Valland the first time. Well, anyway, I was home when my friend from Orust arrived and he left for Mölle the day after and I was most likely spending the day at home. There wasn't very much exciting going on in Go:teborg on a Sunday. And Monday morning meant back to school and I was most likely in bed early Sunday night.

Wednesday 20th of November 1985 and I was invited to a birthday party on Styrsö. One of my class mates had his birthday and he was throwing a party. Wednesday and never mind the school  the day after. I bought a case of beer or two and I went to the ferry terminal to take me to Styrsö.
The ferry stopped at all the islands at the archipelago west of Go:teborg and I had no clue where to get off. My class mate had given me the name of the place where to get off the boat. - I will come to pick you up. I was looking pretty lost at the ferry stop, standing there with a case of Carlsberg 45cl beer cans on my shoulders. Suddenly I heard someone shouting. - Hey! You going to Gert's party? - Yeah, how do you know? A stupid question, I'm standing there with a case of beers on the way to  Styrsö where nothing is happening. And everyone on the way to Styrsö knew that I wasn't living there.
It was a guy a recognised from school and he was living on Styrsö or Donsö and as this is small islands everyone knew what was going on. And he was on the way to the party as well, he had to go home first to leave his school books, but he showed me where to get off the ferry. My friend was waiting for me at the ferry stop. He was driving a moped with a loading platform in front. A typical moped for the islands outside Go:teborg. They are not allowed to have cars on the islands so they drive mopeds  and golf carts. I took a seat on the loading platform and we took off to his house and the birthday party. Or his parent's house, he was still living with his parents and I was surprised to discover that they were home.
But this was obviously normal, party and the parents were home. I meet a few people from my class at his birthday party. I don't know when the last ferry was leaving to go back to Go:teborg. But I didn't made it with the ferry and I woke up somewhere in my friend's house the day after. And I was not the only one waking up in my friend's house.

My class mate had a friend over and they were of course drinking. My class mate's friend was  working as a Engineer on one of Stena Line's ships. We had a few bottles of wine and beers before we left for town. Lilla London and I remember this evening quite well.
We meet a few girls at Lilla London and we were having a few beers while talking with them. And of course, they asked us what we were doing. We told them that we were on social benefits. I remember that I told the girls that they had tried to give me a job as a mailman. But as I was suffering from a severe agoraphobia I could not do this job and I was thus living on social allowance. One of the girls turned crazy.  - I HATE PEOPLE THAT LIVE ON SOCIAL BENEFITS! YOU SHOULD WORK!
Her friend told her that we were just joking with them - No, I hate people living on other people - No, look at them, they have good jobs wearing a tie and everything.  The girls ended up in an argument, hell, they almost started to fight and well, OPPS, we left the place behind. Next stop was Yaki-Da

And how do I know it was Yaki-Da. Well, look at the picture and now I know that it was Yaki-Da that was in Trädgården. I know that we were at Trädgården this evening. Yaki-Da or New Yaki and  thanks to my picture I finally know the difference.
My friends wanted to go  to disco. Yeah,  whatever, but don't expect me to dance. I can have a beer or two.
Yaki-Da and I don't know why they let us in, maybe because we looked like we had good jobs. My class mate wore a tie and that might have helped to build a good image. But I doubt it. We found a table and we were soon having a bunch of beers in front of us. The spirit was high and we had a good time. We meet a guy, a very sad person. I don't know what happened, but he told my class mate that he would never hire him if he had had his own company. If this is the best you can come up with you should start looking for a life, real quick, before you have wasted the only life you have. If I had had my own company I would never have hired you. Thursday 28th of November 1985 and I had a class mate coming over. Well, he was just knocking on my door and he had a friend with him. I don't remember if his friend was in our class. But he  was studying at our school.
I remember this evening only because of one thing. I remember that they came by and we were going to town to meet my other class mate. It was Thursday and Torsdags klubben were going for a few drinks.
Well, anyway, we had a few beers in my apartment before we left for town. And we took the tram and my friend was obviously drunk because the only reason that I remember this evening is my friends pick up line on the tram.

This must have been during the time we were studying navigational aids in navigation. Radio beacon and when we take a bearing to a radio beacon we must calculate with a radio deviation. A simple formula, nothing exciting, quite easy. We boarded the tram and my class mate took seat next to a beautiful girl. - Hallå din gammle radio deviation!! I swear to God, the girl shat her pants and she left her seat within a tenth of a second. But my class mate was as happy. Friday 29th of November 1985 and my friend came over for a few beers in my apartment before  we left for my class mate's place. My class mate had a friend visiting from Stockholm and we would go over to his place before going to town.
Me and my friend left for my friend's apartment and when we arrived my class mate and his friend were drinking beers talking about the good ol' days. And I don't think it took very long before my friend and I had a beer in front of us. According to my photo album we ended up at Lilla London.

Lilla London, well, it was OK. But I think the main reason for us to go there was because this was  one of a very few places that let us in.
And there was a disco, OK, they call it night club to make it sound better than it is. Anyway, on the 2nd  floor they had a disco and this must have been the first time they let me in at the place. I don't have any memories of ever being there and I don't think I ever went back.
I remember that there was a girl that wanted to dance and told her that I had a fracture on my foot. But my friends pushed me to the dance floor. - Poor attitude to say no! Never mind how drunk I am, I always feel stupid dancing so it didn't take long before I was back behind my beer.

Thursday 5th of December 1985 and according to my photo album I had one of my class mates over  for a few beers before we left for Yaki-Da. I only have 2 pictures so I was most likely losing my camera during the evening.
I know for sure that I would not have had only 2 pictures left in my camera without having a new film at home. So I was most likely taking the 2 last pictures of the film at home so I could change the film before leaving for town.
And I remember at least one time losing my camera at Yaki-Da, or at least one of the evenings we visited Yaki-Da. I remember f@ck all from this evening and I'm pretty sure there wasn't much exciting happening at Yaki-Da. But I'm sure that we were back home late so I was most likely skipping school the day after.  +++++++++++++++
Friday 6th of December 1985 and if I didn't skip school I must have been sleeping my way through the school day. But I took the afternoon train to Båstad and I took the car to Helsingborg. I remember this evening in Helsingborg. I was in Helsingborg waiting for my friend to sign off a ship and I was not sure if he was coming home on Friday or Saturday. We started in my friend's apartment, he lived in the same house as our off signing friend. Turned out that he would not be home until Saturday morning, but we could have a few drinks anyway.

We were not sober when we walked down Nedre Långvinkelsgatan to Olsson's Cafe where we had a few beers. And according to my photo album we ended up at Rockpiren after Olsson's Cafe.

Saturday 7th of December 1985 and our friend came home in the morning. I was sleeping in my car outside my friend's apartment. When I woke up he just passed my car on his way home.
- YO! - What the are you doing here?
- Had a quick nap so I'm ready to continue the party. We went up to his apartment and it didn't take long before we had a drink in front of us.  We start in my friend's apartment and we make a stop at Elenor on our way to Teaterkatten

Ritz was a disco close to the DSB ferry station.
 just to find them sleeping. I don't remember if I slept in his apartment or in my car. I had a VOLVO 265 station wagon and it was quite OK to sleep in the back. For sure it didn't look like I wanted to sleep in my friend's apartment.

Tuesday 10th of December 1985 and my friend came to Go:teborg to join a ship. I think he was signing on M/S Atlantic or Nordic Stream. Well, anyway, we had a few beers on town.

No need to do the pictures one by one in photoshop Back in 1985 they had a cocktail bar at the train station in Go:teborg and this was a natural place to start at when I had picked up a friend at the train station. My friend joined his ship and it's Christmas holiday from school and I joined M/T Vestria on the 12th of December. And while onboard I can save money on food and stuff. And of course, I had planned to do some heavy duty studies during my time onboard.
