  Thursday27th of March 2025 and they called from the company, Maersk Cancun arrives to Mongstad on the 29th. I asked them to book the Thai Airways flight to Oslo leaving 5 minutes after midnight. That gives me 8 hours, my luggage has been ready since I came back from Sweden. I called AOT limousine, but they needed one day in advance so I booked a GRAB, cheaper and no need to book one day in advance. I booked the taxi for 8 o'clock and I was in the lobby when the car arrived quarter to 8 and we were soon on our way towards Suvarnabhumi International and Thai Airways flight TG 954. Check-in was done in a jiff and I went to the security. Same as last time, a very long line waiting to get to the security. Same as last time, long line but it was very quick to pass the security. There is only one escalator going up to the security so this is the reason for the line. Millions of passengers and they all have to go up this escalator. I got of the escalator and there were not many people at the security. It was very pleasant and I think they are on to something here, with the one escalator only.  Long line to the escalator
Immigration was a self-service and I was soon in the lounge drinking soda water. I was hungry and I had two plates of chicken curry, and it was very good. Maybe the reason for me having two helpings of chicken curry? I left for the gate, #117A as I had been informed in the lounge. My flight was not displayed on the screen, but one of the staff members checked on her mobile phone. Gate 177A and that means that I have to go by train. The check the boarding pass when you go down to the train station. They checked and now my gate was changed to gate C2, the other side of the airport. It was 90 minutes before boarding was going to start, delayed by 20 minutes and I went to the  desk to see if there was any empty seats and she told me to come back when the manager had come.
I went back after 20 minutes to speak with the Manager, the flight is full, but she managed to get me an empty row. One of the perks of being a gold member. There was a “large” girl asking if she could have an empty seat next to her. She could not get any seat and now there was 3 empty seats on the flight. My original seat in front of me and two empty seats next to me. I felt sorry for the girl and I asked her for her seat number and she looked at me suspicious and she wondered why I was asking. I told her that they gave me a full empty row and she could take one seat leaving the seat between us empty. She said that she was OK, maybe a little scared thinking I was some pervert. Well, I had offered her one seat so now I just hope she don't take my offer. I can enjoy my row guilt free. +++++++++++++++
Friday 28th of March 2025 and scheduled departure time was set to 5 minutes after midnight, but we had not started the boarding by then.
I was quick to get on board when the boarding started to make sure there were space for my carry-ons in the overhead bins. 3 seats for myself, but I cannot be sure until boarding is completed. And not even then, I have experienced that they have shuffled people around after boarding. But when they pulled us from the jet bridge, I was pretty sure to have my own row.  Boarding

The Stewardess ask me what I want to have for dinner and I tell her that I only need two bottles of water. And she brought me a vanity kit and two bottles of water. Yes, to be a gold member can come in handy. I kept the tooth brush and the eye cover and I returned the rest. I had my neck pillow and this is a very comfy thing, for a minute and I removed it. I laid down in my row and this is for sure not comfy but I managed to sleep for a few hours waking up every now and then. I did not enjoy the flight but it was OK.  On our way to Oslo
Approaching Gardemoen International in Oslo and we had breakfast and it was a very good breakfast and I had four cups of teas (paper cups) killing time watching the last two episodes on a series that I started flying back to Bangkok from Copenhagen last time. I could warch us landing taxi to the jet bridge on the screen in front of me. I wa sin th elast row so no need to hurry getting out of the seat. Self-service at the immigration, but only 3 kiosks open so the line was very long. And when we reached the kiosks, we discovered that most of the kiosks were closed. The passengers were a wee bit upset about this, but I knew we were in Norway and what to expect, same as in Sweden. One of my bags were on the luggage belt and I got worried, no sign of my second bag. I was almost alone at the luggage claim when my last bag arrived on the luggage belt. I was very happy when I left the luggage claim and they stopped me when I passed the custom. - You are the lucky one today, he said. They scanned my luggage and the took all my Swedish snus and my e-juice. I was not happy, really not happy. So, the first thing to do in Bergen is to buy snus and e-juice. I bought one can of snus in one of the convenient shops at the airport. I bought two bottles of refreshments as well. I finished one and I put one in my back pocket. I passed security, of course, they wanted to recheck my carry-on as there is a lot of electronics. I was repacking my bags fiddling around with my bottle in the back pocket and the girl asked what I had in my back pocket. I showed her my bottle. - You are not allowed to bring that! I handed her my bottle and she scolded the guy at the metal detector and I ducked off towards the gate. An hour to kill and I called a few shops in Bergen, there is one shop close to the hotel and they have both snus and e-juice. Landing in a gloomy and grey Bergen and I bought a few bottles of refreshments while waiting for my luggage. Walking to Clarion Airport hotel and it was nice to finally have arrived to my room. I pooped open a refreshment first ting in my room. View over the tarmac and, well, the room looked good. Well, the desk left a lot to wish for, but I can manage. Charging my phone for a while so I can run my eBird app. There are a few eBird hotspots in Bergen and I will visit at least two of them.  View from my window

Learning that there has been an earth quake in Bangkok first thing when I fire up my IT center. LINE is full of messages and there have been one building collapsing in Bangkok. I prepare my camera and I go to the reception to call a taxi. First stop to buy e-juice and then I will go to look for birds. Cleck HERE to find out if I have any luck with the birds
