  Sunday 6th of February 2016 and I was sore and stiff when I woke up. Of course, no boxing for a month while at the tiger safari. And my friend brought a beautiful girl yesterday so there wasn't  really no option for going “slow” Yeah, I can imagine the girl and what she would think seeing me.

So there was only one option and that was to get in to “kick arse” mode. And I was actually both surprised and impressed by myself,  hangover and several hundred years old and I was kicking arse. Today it is a wee bit different story.
But I made it out of bed and after a pot of tea and a “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® Well, haven't had time to buy any onions yet so it was just a ordinary Tuna Surprise. I topped up my breakfast with an Oatmeal Surprise and I was off to Terminal 21 to meet my  friend. And I have not been at Bangkok Slot Car Club since last year so I'm looking forward to some slot car action.
I met my friend at Terminal 21 and we were soon in a taxi on the way to Bangkok Slot Car Club. We could hear voices when we got out of the taxi and we discovered three people at Bangkok Slot Car Club when we stepped inside. I gave my friend my SCX Classic - Fiat 124 Spyder car so he could have a few  practice laps. He told me that he had not been driving for almost 50 years.
The President of the Bangkok Slot Car Club set up a lapse counter with a timer and we started to race each other’s for the best time. Best lapse time and best time for 5 lapses. I was first out and I managed to do 5 lapses in 48 seconds. Second guy out was my friend and he did it in 41 seconds. And the other two veterans they managed to get 5 laps behind them in 46 respective 43 seconds.  He needed a few training lapses

   We had run the first race with my SCX Classic - Fiat 124 Spyder car and we were all running the same car. The Scalextric cars are faster than the SCX cars so we must have the same car when we do the time races. OK, my friend had some beginners luck and he was whopping arse. We changed from my SCX to a Scalextric car and we did it all over again. We decided to make the second time race with a Scalextric car and I was first out and I made the 4 lapses in 46 seconds. So a wee bit faster than my SCX Classic - Fiat 124 Spyder car. My friend did it in 37 seconds and our new friends came in between us. 2 veterans getting their arse kicked by my friend. And he claims that it is almost 50 years since he drove last time Well, I think he have a track at home where he practise when no one see him.  We running the faster car

It was fun and time passed quickly. I bought a new Corvette L-88 Scalextric car. This was a fast car so I will kick arse at the Bangkok Slot Car Club in the future. I really like the SCX Classic -  Fiat 124 Spyder car as it is very detailed, but it is too slow when I race with the others. There was a guy today with a silver coloured Italian sport car.
I don't know what kind of car it was, I just called it the “Silver Flash” Darn, it was a fast car. We will see if he dare to show up with the “Silver Flash” again, then I will bring out my Scalextric Corvette L-88 We had have a very good time. Me and my friend decided to go to Huntsman at the Landmark Hotel for some lunch/ dinner. One of the  best Bangers & Mash that you can find in Bangkok.
2 pots of tea and a sausage plater as dessert (ordered as a starter) and we left Huntsman and I stopped at Foodland  on my way home to buy onions and 2 big bags of fruit.
Monday tomorrow and my new life starts and I will kick off by starting the “Best looking guy in town '16” diet. I called the taxi and he will pick up me and my friend here on Sukhumvit Soi 23 @ 06:00 tomorrow morning. We will go to Bang Pu/ Muang Boran or Khoi Kham/ Mahachai mangrove for birdwatching tomorrow morning. So my alarm is set for 05:00 tomorrow morning.
