But we were hungry and we ordered the food and it turned out to be one of my best Thai meals ever. The chicken wrapped in the green leaf was one of the best chicken I have ever had. I ordered Pad Thai, I have never been eating Pad Thai before. I asked for them to add curry powder to the Pad Thai and the Waiter and my friend protested. I continued to ask for the curry and the Waiter went to the Kitchen to see if they could add curry.
He was soon back at the table and it was no problem to add curry. The food came and it was excellent, and the Pad Thai “curry special” was very good. Yes, we had a god time at the restaurant, the food was excellent and this place will make it in to my TOP 3 favourite Thai Restaurants in Bangkok. If I ever manage to success with my diet I might come back for another meal. But from now on, NO MORE restaurants until I have managed to obtain my V-shaped torso.

Everything was free at Sanam Luang, food and drinks, even the haircut

We were lucky and we found a taxi and we were soon back at the boxing ring. Two kids in the ring and we left the boxing behind. People started to come to the park and it was too much people. And the long
We walked through the crowd until we came to an area where there wasn't so much people, close to where we had entered Sanam Luang.
It was so nice to come out from the crowd. This area was surrounded by exhibition tents and people were sitting on the grass. My friend told me that we would light candles at 7 o'clock, and there would be a big firework at 7. Well, as this is the first time for me, we can

Here was so much people it was impossible to move around, and I would love to walk around having a look. And I wanted to wait until it was dark so I could get some pictures of the lights at Ratchadamnoen Road. We went to check my friend's car and his car was blocked by trucks so no

Yes, how to kill 2 hours? We spotted an ice cream vendor

We bought two ice creams and we were enjoying the ice cream while joking with the girl.
She prepared herself to continue down the road and I asked her for two more ice creams. The girl left and we started to walk back towards the gate while eating ice cream.

And I like the ice cream vendors in Thailand, they have saved me more than once when I have been hungry (and bored) If it is a female vendor I can always crack a few jokes with the vendor.
There were plenty people wanting to buy ice cream from the other side of the fence so she was buys, good luck for her and I hope she make good money.
Cannot be an easy life pushing around a box of ice cream on a bicycle all day long in this heat.

We were soon back in Sanam Luang and now we only had “almost” two hours to wait until it was time

I was thirsty after having eaten the ice cream and my friend went to buy water, we should meet back here under the big yellow flag. I stayed behind and I was starting to get tired in my legs, but no signs of any place to sit down to relax.
Suddenly there were a marching band coming in through the gate, and I went to have a look. There

And it was the same at the gate on the opposite side of Sanam Luang. I went to the other side of the park trying to get out on the street where there was less people. There were marching bands for as long as I could see, must be thousands of people marching in to Sanam Luang

Marching bands with flags

I was on Ratchadamnoen Nai Road watching the marching bands marching in to Sanam Luang and it was very nice. I was in the front row and not much people around as most of the people were in

I decided to wait until the marching bands had passed and then I would cross the street to buy some water. The marching bands passed and now there were a few thousand university students marching by.
I made a run for it and I was drinking cold water when the last people was marching by. I finished the water and I walked back to Sanam Luang. It was around 6 o'clock and many people were

My friend called and he asked where I was and I told him that I was close to the flag. Took me a few minutes to get there and we went to look for a place to sit down while waiting for the fire work to start. We passed the place with the fire work and we learned that the fire work and the lightening of the candles would not start until

We had a good time with them and it was nice to sit down joking with them and the time passed quickly. We had a few people next to us preparing their cameras and tri pods so they could take pictures of the fireworks. Suddenly every one stood up and they started to light up their candles. My friend and I joined them with our candles burning.

Be careful with the finger

We stood there with our candles and we had to light them over and over again as the candles blew out. And there was no sign of anything happening. We were waiting for the national hymn to start,

We were standing there re lightning our candels talking with the people around us and it was OK, especially since it was not too crowded. And my friend had time to repair his candles that was broken in 3 pieces. Suddenly the national hymn started and the candels came up again. The song came to an end and the fire work started.

The fireworks at Sanam Luang came to an end and they started to send up fireworks from the

The fireworks in Sanam Luang didn't reach the same heights, but still some

And we could not see the fire work going up, just explosions in the sky and it was beautiful, but the smoke was terrible. And it was soon starting to fall down ashes on us. At first I thought it was mosquitos or insects attracted by all the yellow shirts, but it was ash from the fire work.

By now the sky was covered in smoke
The last few fireworks were totally covered in smoke. When the last one went off we left Sanam Luang. This will be interesting, how will the street look like when all these people are going to

I walked South on Soi Na Phaa That and I was passing North of Sanam Luang crossing the Ratchadamnoen Klang at Royal hotel. The roads were full of people AND CARS!!! I had expected to cars to be banned from the roads around Sanam Luang. How many people coming out from Sanam Luang, 100,000? And the side walk was full of street vendors. Only the street to walk on, and they very full of busses and cars.

On the way back home

The streets are full of people going back home

And we can see that the road to Royal Hotel is very crowded

There might have been more than 100,000 people in the park

This driver looks bored

On Ratchadamnoen walking towards Democracy Monument

I have crossed Ratchadamnoen at Thannon Tanao (Khaosan Road)

Almost at the Democracy Monument

Ratchadamnoen full of people on their way back home

Democracy Monument

Full flash and not possible to see the direction signs

Same signs with the “baseball cap” effect
And of course, I was soon finding out that the roads were full of motorcycles as well. On the streets and I tried to follow the walking masses. At Royal hotel I saw the top of many heads, must have been thousands of them. A large group and I decided to follow them in order to get protection

So I had to cross the west bound lane and I joined a steady stream of people walking East in the East bound traffic lane. I reached the intersection at Thannon Tanao at Khaosan road and I

I reached the Democracy Monument and I was taking picture using the flash and long shutter time. And as always (At least when I remember it) I turn my baseball cap to avoid closing the flash with the cap peak. The road sign gave a terrible reflection and I tried to turn my baseball cap to keep down the flash a bit. It worked out to be OK.

I have walked past the Democracy Monument bound for Sukhumvit

Walking over Rop Krung
I passed the Democracy Monument and I walked over Rop Krung and I continued down Nakhon Sawan, I crossed the Canal and I continued until Phitsanulok Road. I turned right and I walked towards Phetchaburi. I crossed the railroads and I walked under the elevated high way. I was alone when I left the Canal behind on Nakhon Sawan, but there were plenty people joining from Lan Luang when I was walking down Phetchaburi.
We crossed the walk over and one girl pointed at the ladder going down to the lane going towards

And I was lucky, there was a taxi outside 7 Eleven and he brought me back home. And it was 11 when I was back home and I had been walking for the full day, good for my diet.
I was really tired when I was back home, I checked the latest news about the snap election in Sweden. Set to 22nd Of March 2015 and I need to find out when I can get the ballot papers.
The Indian safari, so far nothing but a disappointment, the company want me to come work and I told them that I will tell them on Monday. So if I don't have any news about my Indian Tiger safaris on Monday I will tell
