Friday 1st of June 2012 and my alarm went off as it should at 8 thirty for the first time since I came back from Shanghai. And as I don't have any Thai language school today I felt back to bed  after turning off the alarm and I felt asleep again.
I was out of bed at 10 thirty and I went to buy groceries at Tops Market when I had finished my “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® and morning tea. I bought 3 mangoes for my hangover diet. I was fighting with myself discipline. Mangoes is not any good thing for my diet, but  I decided to buy them because I had skipped my hangover milk shake, mango is for sure healthier than ice cream.
I walked back home and I changed my clothes for yet another boxing session at Sophia Muay Thai Gym. And I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my arms were pretty OK. I had expected my arms to be sour after all the pounding of the pads at Bangkok  Fight Club yesterday.
So I could do some sparring, but I only used my left arm and legs. I left Sophia around 4 thirty and I walked back home together with our Austrian friend that left his son and the American girl behind at Sophia Muay Thai Gym for their session. I had a smoothie and I managed to (almost) finish my Thai books before it was time to leave for Bangkok Fight Club. And of course, when it was time to leave  for Bangkok Fight Club the sky opened up and the rain poured down.
Luckily enough the rain turned in to a light rain/ drizzle and I could leave. But I was a few minutes late for Bangkok Fight Club. Our Teacher and our Thai friend were present and after a few minutes there was a Thai girl arriving that I had never seen before. So we were 3 people + our Teacher and we had yet another good session at Bangkok Fight  Club. We started with warm up, jogging around kicking the punch bag, squat downs holding the darn medicine ball and jumping over a rope.
Then we did some shadow boxing before we started with the pads. We did 30 minutes with the pads and it was a very good exercise and I was very pleased that I didn't skip tonight's session due to the rain. We finished with the pads around 8 thirty and we did the cool down and sit ups and it was 9 o'clock  when I left with my Teacher. The rain had stopped and my Teacher wanted to take me home on his motorcycle.
I can't say that I was happy about the motorcycle ride, plunging down Asoke on the back of a motorcycle. But Asoke was almost empty when we left Bangkok Fight Club and we did it to m y apartment in a minute or two. I was in a hurry to get to bed because I have  to get up very early tomorrow for my appointment with the Doctor. I will meet my Teacher at Sophia Muay Thai Gym at 8 thirty tomorrow morning so I will have to  get out of bed at 7 thirty.
Of course, this is something I look forward to. And I can't say that I'm very confident with my alarm clock after the last few days so my Teacher will give me a back up call at 8 o'clock. My plan is to bring my boxing gear and to go to Chakrit Muay Thai School after the Doctor. I was yet again pleasantly  surprised when we finished Bangkok Fight Club tonight, no pain in my arms and shoulders.
But I had two, what we call “Horse pills” in Sweden before I left for Bangkok Fight Club so the pain killers might have helped. But I have felt good the last week and the Austrian guy at Sophia force me to do warm up and stretching before and after each session and this have helped a lot. He had the same problem last February and he started with the stretching and now he never suffers from any pain in the shoulders. +++++++++++++++
Saturday 2nd of May 2012 and I woke up before my alarm went off at 7 thirty. I had my “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® with my tea before I left for Sophia Muay Thai Gym. I arrived at 8 thirty  and my Teacher arrived a few minutes later. We walked to Asoke and we took a taxi from there.
It took about 10 minutes to get to Pattana Medical Center and when my Teacher went to check me in they told us to go register at another building. We got my card and we stopped to buy some Minute Maid at 7 Eleven before we returned to check-in. My Teacher and I were waiting in the waiting room when I realised that my Teacher was at the hospital just to accompany me. Embarrassing, I  told him that he could have given me the  address and he could have stayed home sleeping.
I felt really uncomfortable to have him assisting me, but he is a very nice guy and he told me that he didn't need any sleep. He had had plenty sleep during the night. The called Mr Aladdin and we went to see the  Doctor and she sent me to a room for some injections in my shoulders. Xylocaine, painkiller and then she sent me to an x-ray. The x-ray was in another building so my Teacher and I had to wait for a while before there was a guy coming to take  us to the x-ray. I really don't understand why they want to have an x-ray. Painkiller and x-ray, maybe as our  Austrian friend told me the other day.
Going to the hospital in Thailand is a waste of time and money. The prescribe antibiotic and some painkillers and that's pretty much it.  Well, anyway, we went to the x-ray and they took 4 pictures of my shoulders
We paid the bill 2485 Baht and we foocked off out of there, well, we had a quick stop at 7 Eleven for more Minute Maid before we went to look for a taxi. I dropped my Teacher at Sophia and I continued to  Chakrit Muay Thai School on Sukhumvit Soi 39. My Doctor had told me not to use my shoulders until my next visit on Tuesday the 5th of June. But I pounded my Teachers pad with my left hand for a few rounds.
A few rounds of blocking my Teacher when he was kicking me and I walked back home. I tried to get some sleep back home, but it was impossible to fall asleep. I watched an episode of The Office before I went to the kitchen to prepare the food. Peeling potatoes, chopping onion and spring onion. I didn't found any leek at Tops Market. But spring onion is the same, but smaller, at least it looks the same. And the beauty of having Thai people at home is that they have never been eating Swedish Meatballs and mashed potato before, so if I use spring onion or leek, who the foock cares?   The American girl arrived around 6 thirty, our Teacher had left her here before going back to Sophia Muay Thai Gym to wait for our Canadian friend. We made 2 meatballs to see if we needed to  add something to the mix. The American girl wanted to add oregano so we added the oregano before she started to  fry the rest of the mix.
Most important when making meatballs, to have someone doing it for you. If I had been alone I would not have bothered rolling them like meatballs. Our Teacher and the Canadian couple arrived and our Teacher got right on with the work to help the American girl making the meatballs. When they were making the last meatballs I started with the mashed potatoes and we were soon ready to start to eat. I had 2 cases of San Miguel Light in my fridge and we were drinking beer like there was no tomorrow and we were soon tipsy. Well, I think we were tipsy before the food was ready, at least I was a wee bit tipsy. To buy potatoes in Thailand is not easy, I know what potatoes to buy in Sweden, but here I just buy potatoes by chance. And the rod mixer is maybe too much when making mashed potatoes, the mashed potatoes becomes more like porridge. But for me it was OK, but I don't think our Thai friends like mashed potatoes. It was 10 o'clock before we left for our Teacher's friends place on the other side of the river. The owner of the Sophia Muay Thai Gym had to call his driver. I had expected us to go in a taxi,  well, we would have needed 2 taxis. The driver arrived with the same van we had used to go to Ratchaburi for the  American Girl's fight.
I brought San Miguel Light but the beer was empty before we hit the toll way so we had to leave the highway at Banglamphu for a stop at 7 Eleven. This 7 Eleven didn't had any San Miguel Lights and the best option was Heineken, we bought a bag of Heineken and we continued our trip towards Society on the other side of Chao Phraya River. Took us maybe 15 minutes to get there from 7 Eleven, in the nick of time. My beer was empty when we arrived.  Our Teacher brought a water pipe

The American girl arrived to my apartment with a big bag with something that looked like a riffel sticking out from the bag.  - What the  is that?
- It is a water pipe! She told me that our Teacher wanted to bring a water pipe to the Society. So when we arrived to Society our Teacher sat up the water pipe and I gave it a try and I think it was something tasting like strawberries coming out from the pipe.  Drinking San Miguel

We got a table and our Teacher's girlfriend and her friend was waiting for us. And of course, the local lady boy was at the table, I think it was a friend of our Teacher's girlfriend's friend. There  were soon a band coming up on the stage and it was very good music even though they didn't played เมดอินไทยแลนด์, actually, they didn't played one single Thai song that I can remember, except for the song PAI PAI or whatever it is called.
Very good and I have not heard the song for years. I was actually surprised to hear the song, must be 20 years old by now and I thought the song had felt in to oblivion. I still have the record at home, surprisingly enough. I got it from a DJ at RCA back in March 1996 when we were there drinking beer. And as I was a wee bit more than tipsy I was surprised that I had been able to hold on to the record long enough to wake up with the CD. Well, I don't know if the band at Society was very impressed when I stormed the stage to grab the   microphone.
I had a few San Miguel normal beer, they didn't had the San Miguel Light. But the normal San Miguel was OK in a wine glass and ice. Well, by then pretty much any beer would have been OK. I don't know what time we left, but suddenly they came and told me that we were leaving. - Leaving???!!
I was surprised, leaving before they close the place??!! Are they kicking us out of there? I don't know, but I did for sure not wanting to go home  They are playing good music at Society

They dropped me at Phra Nakorn Bar & Gallery when we passed Banglamphu. They were about to close when I arrived. I can't remember where I went after that and for sure, I don't know what  time it was when I was back home.
- HEY ! I can go to the condo office to see if they have any record from the fingerprint reader at the door. We need to use the fingerprint scanner to get in from the 1st of June. +++++++++++++++
Sunday 3rd of May 2012 and I woke up around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and I spent the whole day  in bed watching hangover DVDs.
I only left bed to make smoothies and I left for 7 Eleven in the evening to buy ice cream. Mango, I just imagine it to taste better with ice cream instead of yoghurt. And it was almost 6 o'clock in the morning before I felt asleep. +++++++++++++++
Monday 4th of May 2012 and as it is a public holiday, Visakha Bucha Day so I don't have to go to my Thai Language School today. But I went to Sophia and when I was ready there I returned home  for a “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® before I left for Bangkok Fight Club. The bananas I bought last Friday are still green so I could not make any smoothies.
I walked to Bangkok Fight Club and it is empty on the streets, Srinakharinwirot University area was empty. A few people walking  around but otherwise it was desert. I was at Bangkok Fight Club 10 minutes before 7 and I was alone with my Teacher.
There was a new girl arriving just before 7, she wanted to start with Muay Thai. She was from the Philippines and she had been looking for the place last Friday. But she had not  find Bangkok Fight Club, same as me first time I was looking for Bangkok Fight Club when they had moved from Thonglor.
Our Thai friend arrived 10 minutes past 7 and a few minutes later a Thai girl arrived. The last one was a guy from France to arrive  and there were 5 of us plus our Teacher when we started the session.
Warm up and then it was 5 minutes of jogging with kicking the punch bag, push ups, jumping over the rope and throwing the medicine ball. Then we had to do some kicking after having jumped back and forth on one leg and jumping around like a frog. We did 20 minutes of punching the pads and then we did 10 minutes of throwing the medicine ball between us. We were in a circle and throwing the ball  and when we had passed on the ball to the next we had to throw our self on the floor and jump back with the legs.
Doctors order for me was not to use my arms so I did  squat down. Cool down and sit ups and it was 9 o'clock when we left Bangkok Fight Club.
I walked back home, my Teacher asked if I wanted to have a ride with his motorcycle. But I really like to walk so I said no thank you. He asked the new Filipina girl where she was going and she was going to the BTS station and she got a ride with our Teacher. +++++++++++++++
Tuesday 5th of May 2012 and I arrived to the hospital 10 minutes after 4 o'clock. I checked in at the front desk and they asked me to wait. The waiting room was full so I went outside. I had got the time 16:00 to 16:30 but I changed it to 16:30 to 17:00 to get me some time. But I realised that I could go to the hospital straight from my Thai school.
I went back in at 16 thirty and I asked where the Doctor was, same answer as when I arrived. - She is on the way. Now they also told me that she was on Phetchaburi, on the way over here. - So another hour? - Maybe half an hour. I asked how many Doctors there was working today. I was told that this was the only Doctor at this department today and I had number 19. - Then there are 18 people before me to see the Doctor - Yes - And she is on her way, right now at Phetchaburi - She also works at Chula hospital  - I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FOOCK WHERE SHE IS WORKING. SHE SHOULD BE HERE BY NOW!!
- But the traffic.... - She has to plan for the traffic when she makes appointments. I managed to be here in time and I'm not from Thailand. She is from Bangkok and she should be used to the traffic. AND SHE IS A DOCTOR!! If it is too hard to estimate the traffic and travel time after 50 years in Bangkok she is for sure not a Doctor I put any trust in. 18 people before me and I continued with the Nurse. - So if she arrives at 5, how long time do I have to wait - An hour, she said giving me the most strained smile I have ever seen. Or at least I have not seen it since I redecorated my condo. Yeah, this is Thailand and they really don't want to give you a negative answer. 18 people  before me and let's say the Doctor gives them 10 minutes each, that is 3 hours of waiting for me and the Nurse said 1 hour with the forced smile on her face.
I left the hospital, I was for sure not going to spend the whole evening waiting for the Doctor, 18 people before me, why the foock do they booked me a time. They could as well have booked me for 12 o'clock. I have plenty other stuff to do and I was not in a good mood. I had skipped Sophia Muay Thai Gym so I could go to the hospital. Yeah, what a shitty day this turned out to be, the day was perfect  until I finished school. But the day turned very sour when I left school. We had a good day in school with the 2 Americans in my class and I was in a good mood when I left class.
I went to the Esplanade shopping mall next to the school to kill some time, I didn't want to come too early to the hospital and I ended up at a Japanese Spaghetti restaurant. OK, this was not good, but not too bad, except for the 2 plates of garlic bread that I had. And things were soon to turn much worse and I'm turned in to a very bad mood. I  stopped at Beard Papa a few restaurants away from the Japanese spaghetti place.
The cream puffs at Beard Papa look delicious on the pictures and I had been there before, but I had never ordered any cream puffs because they don't have any tea. But now I decided to have a few cream puffs to alleviate my agony for missing Sophia Muay Thai Gym. As I said, they look delicious on the pictures and I had 3 cream puffs and one chocolate puff in a bag. When I was ready with the 4 puffs that I ate standing up at Beard Papa I suffered one of the  worst agonies in a very long time.
So I didn't felt good when I left the Esplanade on Ratchadapisek to look for a taxi. It took me around 5 to 10 minutes to get to the hospital. And I left the hospital 20 to 30 minutes later when I have had my discussion with the Nurse. I ran in to the owner of the Sophia Muay Thai Gym outside the hospital. - PLEASE!! A CIGARETTE!!! He handed me a cigarette and I ripped off the filter and lit the fag.  I finished the fag in a few  drags and I felt a wee bit better. But this day was not getting any better, it was going to get worse. Back home and it started to pour down just when I was about to leave for Bangkok Fight Club
Isn't that typical, just bring it on. This day can't possible get any worse. I had planned to sell my Thai stocks today. I checked the US market 3 o'clock this morning before falling asleep and the index was in the red. So I suspected that SET would open by going down. But the index had gone up and I checked my stocks, a wee bit in the red and I decided to keep them. When I came back home from the hospital I discovered that SET index had gone down by 1.44%. Well, that says  nothing about my stocks. I checked, I might have had some luck.
Well, I had lost 13000 Baht today and now I lose 10000 per day. Well, I'm not losing anything because I don't have to sell them. But it has been like losing 10000 Baht every day. Yes, I'm deep in the red, but that is never mind. They will  hopefully bounce back and it is possible to make money even if the market falls. I can sell 100 000 stocks today and if they continue to fall I can buy back 120 000 the day after. I have tried this before, but I always have bad luck, I hope for the stocks to go down and they go up and I lose money.
I hope they go up and they go down and I lose money. So I have given up this tactic and I just save  them for long term, but maybe I should give it a try again. Yes, SET had turned to shit and the rain when I was about to leave for Bangkok Fight Club didn't improve my mood.
I was very late when the rain turned from a heavy rain to a drizzle. I left walking down Soi 23 in the drizzle and when I passed  Sophia Muay Thai Gym I could hear our Teacher.
He was sparring with the American girl and I stopped for a few minutes before I continued to Bangkok Fight Club. When I approached Asoke I looked on the windows above the 7 Eleven across the Asoke road. No lights in the window. - What the is going on?
Then I discovered that there wasn't any light in the 7 Eleven and then I discovered that the whole  building was dark. So it was a black out.
It was pitch dark when I staggered up the stairs towards Bangkok Fight Club on the second floor. I could hear them punching the bags and I was  surprised. It is pitch dark so how can they see the bags. When I had finally found my way to the door I discovered that they had 2 candles on the floor during the training. But there was not enough light for me to take on my boxing shoes.
2 Skipped boxing session in one day, wasted time and money to go to the hospital and on top of that I had had the  Japanese spaghetti and Beard Papa's cream puffs. What a foocking great day! I walked back home and I had a shower before I left for Emporium. I had decided to go for a constitutional and to have a look at a vacuum cleaner at Emporium.
And I would by hazelnuts at Villa Market on my way back home. I ran in to my Teacher from Chakrit Muay Thai School on my way to Emporium. He asked  if I had given up the boxing and I told him that I was studying Thai and I was at Chakrit on Saturdays only.
I bought 2 and a half kilo hazelnuts at Villa Market on my way back home. I was limping down Sukhumvit approaching Sukhumvit Soi 23 while pondering my shitty life. My day had been the worst for a very long time and as the day could not get much worse I decided to step in to Little Italy for a pizza. Little Italy have been around for around 10 years and I can't remember ever having been there sober. Always between 3 and 6 o'clock in the morning on my way home from the pub. Will they recognise me? I sat down at a table and I ordered a pizza and garlic bread with  mozzarella cheese. The girl asked me if I wanted spagethi as well.
 Yes, embarrassing, she recognised me and did I use to eat both spaghetti and pizza during my early morning visits to Little Italy? Not any good news! And when she came with the pizza she said:
- Yang mai mao - Oh, I'm busy with my home work When I left she asked if I was going to the pub and I told her that I was going home to study. So yes, I'm 100% sure she recognised me and I'm also sure that I have been drunk every time she have meet me at little Italy. My idea to call Little Italy to make a bomb   threat before I was going to town for a few beers did suddenly seemed to be a very great idea. They would have to close down while searching the place and I could go straight home without stopping for a pizza and spaghetti.
And yes, I was back home and at 11 thirty I decided to go to my local 7 Eleven to buy some Minute Maid and some Dutch Mill orange drinking yogurt. Yes, I can as will finish this day by jumping out from the precipice and I will start my healthy life all over again tomorrow with tuna and tea only. No more smoothies, well, maybe when suffering from a hangover. Maersk have sold Maersk Cassandra and I will join Maersk Claudia end of June. I got an e-mail from the ship and it looks like they will go to Rayong next voyage. They want me onboard, but
Well, one thing is for sure, it will be very nice to leave Bangkok so I can come back to start my new life all over again. No more Japan and Shanghai, I will have a 3 months visa so I can stay in Bangkok all the time. 1 day in Tokyo is the same as several lost days. I'm eating instead of training

Wednesday 6th of May 2012 and I finished my Thai school at 12 o'clock and as I had plenty time before I had to be at Sophia Muay Thai Gym I stopped at a massage place on Soi 23. I walked like I had soiled my pants because of the pain in my thighs. I was limping to school and I was limping back home. People looked at me wondering if I had shat my pants. Walking up and down stairs was the worst and I had to hold on to the rail pulling myself up the stairs.
I don't know how many times I have left a Thai Massage place disappointed, for sure many times and I have decided never to go for massage again. But I was desperate and I decided to try a massage  of my thighs and an hour later I had really made up my mind, never again. It was nice with the ointment and stuff on the legs, but the pain was the same when I left the place.
When our Austrian friend and I left Sophia Muay Thai Gym it started to rain. What the foock is wrong? Yesterday, when I left for Bangkok Fight Club it started to pour down and today it started to pour down when we left Sophia Muay Thai Gym. I was soaked like I had felt in the pool when I  came back home. We will meet at the Austrian friend's place for some soccer tomorrow after Sophia Muay Thai Gym if it isn't raining so I hope my legs are better by then.
When i approached Asoke I saw that it was black in Bangkok Fight Club's windows and our Thai friend was waiting outside. Our Teacher arrived a few minutes later and he went to buy soft drink at 7 Eleven. He discovered a bucket on top of the soda machines and he asked what he needed to buy to get the bucket. - Just fill it with Coca Cola products and it is yours. It will set you back by 59 Baht.

I told him that he would get more of the fizz drink if he skipped the ice. When he had filled the darn bucket with ice he  started to fill the bucket with fizz drink and he mixed all the available sodas in the bucket and the whole thing got an interesting colour. He paid for his soda and we went to pick up  our Thai friend outside Bangkok Fight Club and we went up to the gym on the second floor.
There were 2 guys from France arriving, but they trained by themselves. Our friend from Germany arrived 10 minutes after 7 and then we were 3 people plus our Teacher. We spent most of the time punching the pads and it was a good session at Bangkok Fight Club. When we left our Teacher asked where Sophia Muay Thai gym was located and I took him there to show him the place before I walked back home. I had a protein shake and a glass of flaxseeds and electrolyte before I went to bed. +++++++++++++++
Thursday 7th of May 2012 and I was a few minutes late to my Thai language school and I was  surprised to see that they had started class. I was a  few minutes late and our Teacher was in time, otherwise we always have to wait for her.
Thursday and my class starts at 1 o'clock. Monday and Wednesday we start at 10 o'clock and Tuesdays and Thursdays I have class with the 2 Americans and we start at 1 o'clock. I like the classes with the Americans best, most likely because we start at 1,  when we start at 10 I'm half sleeping my way through class.
We had a good time in class and time turned quick and it was soon 3 o'clock and time to go  home. I took the subway home and I had a glass of flaxseeds before leaving for Sophia Muay Thai Gym and a session. I still have the pain in my legs so I will only use my arms punching my Teacher's pads.
The soccer was cancelled so I didn't leave Sophia until 5 thirty   and it had been a very good session. A quick smoothie and I had shower when I was back home and it was time to leave for Bangkok Fight Club.
My Teacher was wearing my shirt when I arrived. I gave the shirt to my Teacher last Friday. - The shirt is way too big for you! - No problem, I will make it smaller He had paid 50 Baht and today the shirt was in his size and he looked good in my shirt. - So when are we going to disco? There were a lot of people dropping in and we were 8 people plus our Teacher. Well, it was 7 thirty when the last participant arrived and by then we were exhausted by throwing the medicine ball between each other in a ring with squat downs with every throw. We had one girl arriving, but she was only there to watch her girlfriend's session. She joined us  last time she was here so I was a wee bit surprised when she just sat in the sofa.
But she had a telephone with a big screen and she was on the internet so our Teacher threw himself over her eager to show her his Facebook. We continued with the punch bags, this time we were kicking. We were sliding to the punch bags first ten minutes and then we did speed kicks. 2 groups with 4 people in each and we took turns kicking the bag. For 10 minutes and then we had to turn somersaults to the bag, I was jogging, I can't turning somersaults.

The whole idea with the somersaults is to get dizzy and if we cannot do the somersaults we have to  spin around to get the same effect. I was jogging back and forth, if I do the somersaults or spinning around I get sick and I will throw up.
We did 3 x 10 minutes on the punch bags and then we did yet another 10 minutes with the medicine ball. A ring and we threw the medicine ball between each other and some kind of push up after each throw. I was doing squat downs and I will see how my shoulder feels next week to see if I can join them. Cool down and sit ups and it was almost 9 o'clock when I left Bangkok Fight Club.  Turning somersaults

When I was back home I tried to call my friend at Bangkok Photographers. I don't have any class  at “My Thai Language School” tomorrow and I had an idea to refresh my
My friend didn't reply “The number you try to call is not available” and I gave up after a few tries. I sent him an e-mail and I asked him to call me around 9 o'clock tomorrow morning if he had the time. I updated my web page and I went to bed to try to get some sleep in case I had to take off for the photo session tomorrow morning. +++++++++++++++
Friday 8th of May 2012 and my alarm went off at 8 thirty and I went up to turn off my alarm and then I felt back in bed and I was soon asleep again. I woke up at 9 fifth teen when my friend from Bangkok Photographers called me. He was available and we decided to meet outside Emporium at 10 thirty for a photo session at Benchasiri Park.
 I had a pot of tea and a “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® before I left for Emporium in a taxi. So HANG ON! This might turn out to be fun.
