No longer any need to use the Internet Explorer or run the Internet Explorer rendering engine. I gave up IE after the introduction of Internet Explorer 11
  Page is tested in Fire Fox, Chrome and Safari. Looks like it works OK in all browsers, except the sounds in Safari. Of course, browsing www.aladdin.st in Safari on an iPad is a different story, nothing looks as it should     Peruan Restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 11. No drinking,  hopefully. But I will go to The Overstay tomorrow and I will for sure suffer from an hopefully slight hangover  on Sunday. And I need to  prepare.
So I walked to Tops Market when I had had my shower and I bought food so I don't need to leave home on Sunday. I stopped at my local 7 Eleven on my way back  home to buy the orange flavoured drinking yogurt.
I emptied the shelves of all the orange flavoured drinking yogurt at 7 Eleven, and yesterday I bought their last Diet MAX so I would suggest that they have a look on the logistics. 1 bottle of Diet MAX is not much, but they had 9 bottles of orange flavoured drinking yogurt and that will hopefully be enough.
I had a pot of tea and a “TUNA & ONION SURPRISE” ® before my shower and I dashed off to  meet my friends. I walked to Time Square and my friends finished their work when I arrived. Or well, 3 minutes after I had arrived.
We walked towards Soi 11 on the wrong side of Sukhumvit Road and we would have to croiss the street. My friend told me that the restaurant was pretty far up Soi 11 so we took a taxi. You can enter Soi 11 from the West bound lane on Sukhumvit but the right lane was full all the way down to Time Square of cars waiting to cross. But we decided to give it a try and we stopped a taxi at Soi 10 and he managed to dodge the lane and we were suddenly ahead of all the cars waiting to cross We arrived to a house, looked like a condominium or apartment building. And I was surprised at the same time as I got scared. It is a roof top restaurant and when they told me Soi 11 I imagined the roof top to be  on the third floor, TOPS!! But this hous3 was a new high riser.
The Security Guard told us that we had to go to the back and the elevator took us to the 32nd floor 32 FLOORS!! I told the girls that I thought we would be able to find a better place, at street level. There is a dress code at Above Eleven: Gentlemen not allowed in shorts was #5 on the long list outside the elevator and I told them that I might not be allowed inside. We came out on the 32nd floor and the Waitress looked at my shorts  and then she looked me in my eyes and I could see her thinking “He have shorts so I should kick himout of here, but he is handsome so I let him stay”
The girls wanted to sit at the edge, with just a small glass divider, 100cm in height between us and the abyss. I had another plan and I managed to talk them in to sitting in the bar, and on the side facing the kitchen and not the abyss. We ordered 3 San Miguel Lights and it took quite some time for the beer to arrive. So long actually so the girls, not me, asked for the San Miguel Light a second time. I had 6 or 7 San Miguel Lights before the girls finished their first beer. The menu was a  disappointment, Peruan restaurant and I was thinking South  America and the Caraberos or whatever they call it in Brazil.
But then I realised that every time it was something from Peru on the News it is a Japanese looking guy saying that everything is under control.   Exactly the same as watching the Japanese news. The shit is hitting the fan but always NO PROBLEM!! And by the time anyone admits to any problem several people “in charge” have already comited heraki or whatever it is called.
Before I realised this and that it was a Peruan restaurant I  thought it was a Japanese restaurant and I ordered salmon & avocado maki.
And as we were on the 32nd floor I wanted to have a few pictures of the view, but I was for sure not going to take them myself. So I asked the girls and they went to take the pictures. When they came back I had pictures for my web page and I didn't had to come even close to the abyss. Well, luckily enough I had had 12 or more San Miguel Lights before it was time to go to the rest room. And I was walking out to the abyss.  The view from Above Eleven

And by now I was more than halfway through my fax and I couldn't care less about the height
I never found the pissoar at the rest room, it was very dark, but there was one toilet booth and I thought it was not enough for a restaurant. But later on I found the pissoar. When we arrived there was a girl coming down the stairs from the second floor and she was really drunk. She was so drunk so she could hardly walk. I don't know how she managed to get to the rest room. An hour later they was carrying her down from the second floor and I think they returned home.  For sure, the boyfriend was not going to take her to a club, would be an major embarrassment. At least when you're sober. Well, anyway, Above Eleven was a great place. And the music was fantastic. I heard Young MC.

And then Digital Underground came on followed by Eric B & Rakim, 7 minutes' of madness. What the is this?? I was almost started to cry, I was back in the 80's when I was young and handsome.
I was enjoying San Miguel Light #17 and the girl was on their 2nd San Miguel Light when we had a  guy coming up to me.

The guy left and he went to something that turned out to be the DJ booth and I went over with a Heineken. He was drinking a Heineken when he was coming to me so I thought he was a guest. If I knew that they had a DJ I would have brought my TAXI CD.  Hmm, maybe we were better off
So I started to talk with him and it turned out to be OLD SCHOOL every Friday at Above Eleven and I asked for the Funky Technician. He didn't had the Funky Technician so I asked for Big L and he came up with ZIP. A disappointment but I didn't  gave up
- I know for a fact that you don't have Big Daddy Kane - I know for a fact that I have Big Daddy Kane And, well, he didn't had Big Daddy Kane, but he had 2 tunes with Biz Markie and Biz Markie blasting high on the Richter scale is always welcome. It was a great evening and I really liked the place. Great music, great people and the San Miguel Lights disappeared like shots.
We were sitting there having a good time and the Dj spend more time with us than in the DJ booth.  We were talking music and suddenly I had a girl next to me.

I knew her very well, but I had never seen her with glasses before. It was the Canadian girl from Sophia Muay Thai Gym. And I had a Canadian guy next to me in the bar and he had told me that he was at Above Eleven with his Canadian friends. And it turned out that I knew the guys. I asked her why she hadn't been at Sophia Muay Thai Gym for a long time. She had not have had the time, well, there is always  time for the Thai boxing. But she told me that she would soon be back again. That's the spirit we're looking for. So I might see her when I'm back from Africa in April or something like that.

My friends had 4 San Miguel Lights and I had more than plenty by know and I was getting tipsy. My friends were  pretty tipsy as well, and they had to go to the office to work tomorrow. But I can  stay in bed watching hangover DVDs.
And the more the DJ drank the louder the music and I must admit that I send him 2 or 3 bottles of Heineken to help him getting drunk. The girls left around 1 o'clock and I was going to leave as well so I asked for my bill. They brought me a foocking fax. - What the
I just came for something to eat and I had been hoping that I would have been drinking water and tea. Well, I will for sure have a hangover tomorrow, never mind, it is Saturday and weekend. And to get tipsy is something that comes with the weekends. When we arrived there was an old guy from USA next to us in the bar. He was speaking with the bar tender. - 150 Baht for a beer is very expensive, blah-blah-bla and I get them for 60 in South Thailand - At 7 Eleven they are 30, I said I could not help myself, I just listening to him talking to the bartender. And the bartender started to laugh and the American guy told me that there wasn't any nice view at 7 Eleven. - Don't say that, there might be a beautiful girl working there. And when I asked for the bill the owner showed up behind the bar. He handed me a San Miguel Light and he told me to stay. Of course, I must have some kind of record of drinking San Miguel Light at Above Eleven. And when I see the Bombay Sapphire on the bill I remember a cleaner around my seat with a broom and a crushed gin & tonic around my chair. And we were drinking some black tequila and it tasted nothing, almost like water, but we got tipsy. OK, might have been because of the San Miguel Light. I had paid my bill, I got several free drinks and San Miguel Lights and I was off. But I spotted a beautiful girl at a table next to the abyse, but by now the height wasn't any problem and I went over. 1 or 2 more San Miguel Light before I left. My plan was to go to GLOW, if they let me in that is.  By now I had no problem at all with the height

We took the elevator to the street levels and the Canadians went back home and I went to look for  a taxi to take me to GLOW at Sukhumvit Soi 23.
OK, going in a taxi without the TAXI CD is not very fun but we made it to GLOW in a few minutes. Arriving to GLOW and the Bouncer told me that he had to go check with the owner if I was allowed inside. What the ? Where is the spirit of the owner at Soi 11? The girl came out and I was not allowed inside.
OK, never mind, I have never had have any good time at GLOW anyway. There was a taxi outside GLOW and I asked if his CD player was working - Yes - Take me to Khaosan Road. I wanted to stop to pick up my TAXI CD, but 20 meters down the road I discovered that the CD player wasn't working. What the foock!! There were 2 taxis outside GLOW and I asked them if they had a working CD player, one of the drivers said yes. I'm not going to cross town without music. I got out of the taxi and I went home. I turned on the taxi CD in my bed room and I decided to go to bed instead, a wise move. It was almost 3 o'clock and I'm too old for this. +++++++++++++++
Saturday 15th of December 2012 and I spent most of the day in bed watching hangover DVDs. I  got out of bed around 3 o'clock and I went to have  a glass of Baileys and I returned to my hangover DVDs.
Yeah, it had really been a overnight transformation from Charisma Man to Hangover Man. And yes, it is more fun to be Charisma Man. At 4 I returned to the kitchen and my computer. I was pouring another Baileys and I started to check out the pictures from yesterday. I finished 2 bottles of Baileys and I was ready to leave for The Overstay. I grabbed 2 cans of San Miguel Light and a freshly made TAXI CD and went down to look for a taxi for the trip to The Overstay on the other side of the river.   We got up on the toll way at Sukhumvit Soi 1 and we were soon on the other side of town and I arrived to The Overstay around 9 o'clock. There wasn't much people at The Overstay when I  arrived, maybe 5 or 6 people at the bar. And 45 Thieves and MC SKUTH was  setting up the sound system.
Last time the show was in full swing when I arrived but this time they were obviously going to start later today. I had time to drink Leo beer, the only choice at The Overstay. 100 Baht for a big bottle, cheap, but the beer is not tasting very good, at least not the first 6 or 7 bottles. But then they were kind of OK, of  course, ice was required.
45 Thieves was warming up while setting up the system and it was excellent music until a Spanish DJ arrived and started to play slow Reggae music. Well, there was a band we were waiting for and they were going to start around 2 o'clock. But I didn't care about the Reggae music, I was just there to check out 45 Thieves and MC SKUTH. And there were going to start after the Reggae DJs. There was another DJ after the Spanish DJ and I had had several big bottles of Leo when 45 Thieves and MC SKUTH came on. And it was excellent music and I will continue to follow them.  The Spanish DJ Kaly Mistic arrived

I don't know what time I left The Overstay, last picture was taken 03:02 but I guess that I was back home around 5 o'clock in the morning, way too late. +++++++++++++++
Sunday 16th of December 2012 and I stayed in bed all day long except for a few visits to the kitchen for some orange flavoured drinking yogurt. And finally, I also got my flight details, Thai Airways TG 991 from BANGKOK SUVARNABHUMI to JOHANNESBURG I O.R. TAMBO INTL leaving at 0115 Wednesday morning. And it will be nice to leave Bangkok for a few weeks.

Monday 17th of December 2012 and I called Thai Airways first thing when I got out of bed. Only waiting list for business, bad news. Good news, she didn't thought that there would be any problem  to get a business class seat. 11 hours and 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi to Joburg and this time is not the time I want to spend in monkey class. Much thanks to the failed diet.
And while waiting for the Thai Airways on the phone I had Kaly Mistic's mix tape blasting high on the Richter scale. I got his mix tape CD when I was at The Overstay and it was a great mix tape. Why didn't he play this last Saturday? And Monday and I'm back to the Thai boxing routines after a long weekend. So it will be Sophia at 3 and I might be off to Bangkok Fight Club tonight. But I'm still suffering from the hangover so I keep an open mind about the Bangkok Fight Club. I packed my bag and I brought my potted plants out on the balconies so everything is ready and I can foock off out of here with a second or two's notice. And I had to go to the bank, and there were plenty people at the bank at Sino Thai tower so I walked to Bangkok Bank on Soi 8 as I had to go there anyway. I'm leaving tomorrow and I will  not be able to get any money from Sweden to Thailand before I'm leaving. So I needed to withdraw money with my card. And as I have forgot the pin code I had to do it the old school way. Over the counter and I needed my passport.
At Bangkok bank they gave me the machine and they asked for the PIN code to my card. - If I knew the pin I could have used the ATM! So they had to call and it took like forever and after 15 minutes I told them that I was running out of time. No answer on the phone and I walked back to the other bank via Time Square.  When I came up on the escalator I thought I recognised the girl passing me. But she didn't recognised me, strange, they always recognise me.
Maybe it is someone else. But I followed her to her shop. I knew that she had a jewellery shop at Time Square and she had one of those looks on the door so customer just can't run in and steal everything. When  she opened the door I sneaked in behind her. When I was in the shop she recognised me.
- ALADDIN!!! YOU LOOK GOOD!!! She didn't recognised me because she have only seen me in my training clothes. - OH!! I LIKE YOUR SHIRT! - Let me take you picture She disappeared and she came back to take my picture. - I need a picture, I want to copy your style. I got her phone number and I continued to the bank at Sino Thai Tower. There were only 2 customer in front of me, but I left. It was soon 3 o'clock and I needed to be at Sophia Muay Thai Gym for today's lesson. My Teacher and his cousin was there when I arrived 15 minutes late. They got changed and we started. I was really stiff and I was not exactly full of vim after the weekend. A little warm up and I asked them if they wanted to do the tag TEAM sparring. I'm punching and they are kicking.

The Cousin is down and out
I don't know how many slow rounds I made. But it was not fun with the pain in my shoulders. When we finished the American girl arrived and I asked the guy for another round of me against the Tag TEAM คนแพ้ and she could take some pictures. The rules are that they are 2 against me and when anyone falls to the floor he is off to the “Losers  corner” or as we say at Sophia Muay Thai Gym: มุมของคนแพ้ and it didn't take long before our Teacher's cousin ended up in the “Losers corner”. And this is the Lumpini Stadium fighter!!! Well, I walked back home and tomorrow is the last day at Sophia for a while. And after today's session I decided not to go to Bangkok Fight Club, I'm better off resting my shoulders.
I walked to The Stable Lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 8 and I started with 3 smørrebrød and I finished with a hakkebøff. And of course, a pot of tea. I finished my meal and I left to look for a barber shop. I need a haircut before leaving for Britta Maersk.  Smørrebrød menu at The Stable Lodge
I walked down Sukhumvit and it was the same problem walking down the sidewalk with all the stalls selling a lot of bullshit. I passed a Brit asking for the price of some shitty dress. - 800 Baht I was just about to stop and tell him NOT TO PAY more than 200 but I didn't bother. I also passed one of all those guys running around with the MASSAGE pamphlet. They never stop me, I give them the “FOOCK OFF” eye already 15 meters away and they never approach me. But I passed one of them and he had managed to stop 2 guys. - We want to go to disco - No problem, I know a disco Well, no surprise there. Tuesday 18th of December 2012 and I was dead tired when my alarm went of at 8 thirty for the last time in Bangkok in the year of 2012. I didn't felt asleep until 4 in the morning, good, it will hopefully be easier to fall asleep on TG 991 to Joburg.
I looked for the car company I tried when I was going to India on the internet while waiting for my tea to be ready. I'm not quite satisfied with AOT and their web page. And to call them on the  phone to book a car is not feeling as good as doing it online in writing. I found the  company and I booked a car for 8 o'clock tonight. Great! This was easy and I got my confirmation. But at the end of the confirmation I found the following.

For sure, I was not going to scan and fax, 500 Baht as a guarantee, I have never had to pay any guarantee before and I cancelled the car. I had no time to sit and scan and fax. So I called AOT. I had another  company last time and the driver called me 10 times while he was looking for my address. So I decided to use AOT and I booked the car by phone and it went better than expected. Sometimes it can be very frustrating to book anything over the phone with my English.

I had a reservation with AOT for 8 o'clock tonight and I left for the bank. Same business as  yesterday, but today I left earlier so never mind if there was a few people before me in the queue.
And I was going to meet my friend when I was ready at the bank. She called when I was at the bank at the SINO THAI Tower and we decided to meet at Bangkok Bank on Sukhumvit Soi 8. One of the Managers came up to me and asked if he could help me while waiting at the bank. - No, I'm just waiting for them to be ready at the desk. - OK, there are chairs for you to sit down if you want - No, it is Ok, I can stand up I'm too restless to sit down. After a while the Manager came back and he was so sorry for the waiting. - No problem, soon my turn He asked for my passport and Master Card and we dodged the queue and I was soon out of there.  Good service. I had money again and I walked down to Bangkok Bank on Sukhumvit Soi 8 to deposit the money. My friend called and she told me that she was at Robinson.
- OK, I meet you there instead. I walked to Bangkok Bank and I walked back to Robinson when I was ready at the bank. I met my  friend and when she was ready we walked to Terminal 21 for lunch.
We walked around Terminal 21 for quite some time before we found something that we liked. Millions of Japanese and Chinese restaurant and I'm fed up with this kind of food by now. Noodle soup and sushi, but we found a place with a mix of food. I asked for a pasta with salmon and my friend asked for fish and New Zealand mussels. And I had 2 pots of tea and as my friend was slow to finish her meal I asked for a raspberry brownie with ice cream for dessert. We left quarter past 2 and I was in a hurry to get to Sophia Muay Thai Gym and I asked my friend if she wanted to join me. - You can come to have a look at a session. And yes, she wanted to come along, but after 50 meters of walking she changed her mind so I went  to Sophia Muay Thai Gym alone. Well, I could enjoy my iPod and 2 apples while walking to Sophia.
And I really have to eat apples, I didn't eat any apples during the weekend so I have to eat them today  before I leave for South Africa.
Today's session at Sophia was better than yesterday, but not much. My shoulders are not 100% and I was tired after lack of sleep. But I did my 10 rounds before going back home. So no sparring today, but the owner of Sophia did give the “Cousin” a good ass whopping while I did the mitts with my Teacher.
I have packed most of my stuff, only the lap top and tooth brush remaining and I'm ready to leave.  My car is coming at 8 and then I will foock off out of here and then it is Johannesburg next for change of flight.
So I'm out of here leaving the Christmas behind, in the nick of time, Britta Maersk next! OK, it has come to my knowledge that we have senior citizens visiting my web page. How hard can it  be? So it's not very easy for them to see the blue coloured links to the next page.
