  Sunday 14th of April 2019 and time to leave Bangkok for a new Bird watching adventure. This time it will be a spring adventure in Sweden. I need to renew my fire-fighting and safety courses so I´m booked at Öckerö Maritime Center between 27th and 30th of May. I also need to renew my Bridge Management Course and I´m attending a Maritime Resource Management course, MRM Model 1.22 on Chalmers in Gothenburg between from 6th to 10th of May. So, even though I have to go early and it will still be cold in Sweden, I decided to leave in the middle of April in order to try to catch the last Crane Dances around Hornborgarsjön / Lake Hornborga. From there I will go to Tiveden for a few nights in the forest and I will  hopefully see Blackcock's Lek and Capercaillie's Lek.
From there I will go for another few nights with Blackcock's Lek and Capercaillie's Lek in Bergslagen. So I have a lot of excitements to look forward to. The taxi will be here at 21:00 for transportation to Suvarnabhumi and Thai Airways flight TG 950 to Copenhagen. As I use to do, I brought down the garbage quarter to nine and the car was already here waiting and we were soon on the way to the airport.  1st step in the VAT refind process completed

Not so many people at the airport so I was soon in the lounge drinking soda water. I had to go to the VAT refund and get 5500 Baht on VAT refund for my camera purchase and this was done in a record breaking time as there wasn´t much people. So I was in the lounge about 1 hour after having left home, not bad. And that is even though I was delayed in the security. They asked if I had a pair of scissors in my bag. - No - Can we have a look? They opened my e-cigarette tool kit and DARN! I remembered that there was a scissor for cutting the cotton. Well, it was no problem, but I made a mental note to put it in the checked luggage next time. +++++++++++++++
Monday 15th of April 2019 and we boarded the flight just before 1 o´clock and I asked for a bottle of water and some extra pillow. As soon as we were airborne I turned my bed in to a flat bed and I fall asleep and I wake up almost 8 hours later.

They had asked me what I wanted to eat at boarding yesterday and I told them that I just wanted a bottle of water and 2 extra pillows. - Do you want me to wake you up if you sleep when we serve breakfast? - No thank you? - Any juice when you wake up - No thanks, but two mugs of tea So I had a few cups of tea while killing time watching some TV series on the entertainment system until they served breakfast. Landing 1 and a half hour late and I think it is because of the closed air space over Pakistan. The flight map showed us going straight north from Bangkok. I bought a train ticket to Helsingborg when I had passed the custom and a few minutes after that I saw of they changed the train status to CANCELLED. What the  ?
I was already late and now this! I changed my ticket to go to Helsingør and the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg. DSB, the Danish State Railway, and I´m not impressed. The red “delay” clock turned quicker than the white normal clock. Delayed 2 minutes per minute and when I finally got away on the train towards Helsingør t we were very delayed. Passing Copenhagen and suddenly, an announcement: - TRAIN CANCELLED!!! GET OFF THE TRAIN!! - What the ?
I got off the train and I went to the DSB ticket office to try to change my ticket for the second time but it was 20 minutes of waiting time. I was lucky, there was a train departing for Helsingør at 10:22 (Original departure time 10:11) and I was lucky this time that DSB can´t keep their schedule. I just got on the train and they closed the doors and we left Copenhagen behind.  On the train to Helsingør

I was lucky with the ferry in Helsingør, one ferry was leaving for Helsingborg a few minutes after our arrival to Helsingør and I arrived to Sweden a few minutes before 12 o´clock. I bought a SIM card before going to the taxi station so I can call Oh Gustafsson Konditori & Bageri in Skara to order 4 Semlor that I can pick up tomorrow afternoon. Taxi to HERZ where I will pick up my rented cars and then off to my nephews with a stop at Väla to buy a head light, winter socks and a balaclava to use in the tent when looking at the Capercaillie Lek and Black Grouse Lek I spot a Common Kestrel on my way to pick up my nephews and when we go back the bird is still there and I go out to take a picture. And I was happy and I returned to the car and we continued to the restaurant.   We arrive to Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård

I was full when we left Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård and I returned my brothers family back home just after 5 o´clock and I started to drive north towards Best Western Plus Jula Hotell & Konferens in Skara. I reached Jönköping around 18 thirty and I stopped do buy some MAX and breakfast for tomorrow morning. Breakfast included in the hotel, but by the time they start serving breakfast I will already be at Lake Hornborga / Hornborgasjön. Anyway, the sun was high in the sky and I decided to stop at Trandansen at Lake Hornborga to see if there was any cranes. I arrive there around 8 o´clock and there are a terrible noise from the cranes. There was many of them, but no good light so I never bothered to bring out my equipment.  Testing my new “winter” underwear
I was at the hotel around 9 o`clock and I tested my new winter underwear that I bought for the nights in the tent. I picked up the parcels when I was at my nephews, ordered online and sent to them and it have been kept for me. The underwear fitted and I´m looking forward to the tent adventure. Anyway, my alarm is set to go off at 03:55 and they will call from the reception at 4 o`clock, tea and oatmeal in my room before taking off to Lake Hornborga / Hornborgasjön.
