Flight changed as I discovered that they had booked a game drive Wednesday afternoon when the park is closed. And I had to send them an e-mail asking about the closing Wednesday afternoon. So I paid for 1 day extra that I never used.
When I discovered that the park was closed Wednesday afternoon I changed flight to:
2) Nagpur – Mumbai IndiGo Flight 6E 404 Departure 4th of February @ 20:25 Arrival @ 21:55 hrs

Yeah, why go up at 4 o'clock just to catch an early morning flight? So I booked a room at ibis Airport hotel in Mumbai and a flight in the evening

Friday 5th of February and as I had have too much to eat at Radisson Blu. So the first thing I was looking for at Nagpur's airport was IndiGo's ticket office to upgrade my ticket to a business class Nagpur Airportticket. But IndiGo only have economy class seats on their flights. Nothing I was happy about as I felt a wee bit swollen after my meal at Radisson Blu.

So I was disappointed when I left for the check in. The airport looked like a normal old Indian airport.

From the outside it looked to be new. But this turned out to be a glass front and it looked very modern. Same trick they had used at Baga street in Bombay when I was there last time Nagpur Airportback in 2012.

Cover the old paper/ wood/ corrugated steel huts with a chrome or glass front and the old hut looked like a down town Tokyo, Bangkok or Skåne shop. But it was, well, it was what it was.

But as in 95% of the cases here in India, the people are very friendly. The security people and, well, if it had not been for all the beggars and con people, and of course the “special” tourist prices I would have come back here.

Checking in at the IndiGo check-in counter was done in a jiff and the security was also very smooth Nagpur Airportand I was in the departure hall just after 7 o'clock.

The departure hall didn't offer any pleasant surprises. There was a coffee hut and chairs so it looked like a waiting hall at a train station.

And it was old and pretty dirt, garbage laying around on the seats, so I wouldn’t mind for the time to pass quickly so I could get on board IndiGo's flight 6E 404 to Bombay. I expect to be in my hotel room at Hotel ibis Mumbai Airport around 11 o'clock tonight.

There were 2 flights departing before us, to Bangalore and to Delhi and they were all from gate 2. Well, gate 2 is a door to a bus stop. I expected us to be late but I was impressed by IndiGo. Very smooth and even though it was after 8 when I got on board the plane we managed to depart in time. Came as a total surprise for me and so far I have been nothing but impressed bu IndiGo.

I played a few games on my phone and when that got boring I read IndiGo's inflight magazine 6E MAGAZINE and I was soon reading about the wai. They were on to the same thing as me and the word is spreading and soon no need to shake hands any more. No need to worry if they wash their hands, well, unless you're at a restaurant.

My pre-paid taxi

Arriving to Bombay and it is a nice airport. Our luggage was at the band surprisingly fast. How to get to my hotel? They have several different methods of booking a taxi. There is something called pre-paid taxi and I didn't know what it was. But I passed a hole in the wall and there was a sign “pre paid taxi” and I paid 140 Rupees for a taxi to Hotel ibis Mumbai Airport and I got a voucher.

The car was the worst car I have been in for several years, actually, I cannot remember when I was in a car like this before. It was a few minutes from the airport to the hotel. I stepped out of Hotel ibis Mumbai Airportthe taxi and I heard “Welcome back” I said thank you and this time I was not surprised that they recognised me.

I mean, how often are there coming 500kg in a safari uniform to this hotel? My guess, I'm the first one, now the second time. And everyone in the reception recognised me and they came from the restaurant
- Welcome back

I asked for 10 Diet Pepsi to my room and when I was settled the safari tour conclude with the happy memories. Happy memories, yes, it had been a fantastic tour.

But as with the whaling and all wild life you cannot get enough and I already miss it and I want to see the tigers and all the other animals again. Like the German guy I met at the whaling tours on Iceland
- Have you seen a whale before?
- Yes
- So why you want to go again?
- Have you ever seen a whale?
- No
- So maybe you will understand, if you're lucky. TWAT!
No, I never said twat, but I MIGHT have thought it

It will be nice to get back home and I will not do this again in a very long time. It is very hard and Hotel ibis Mumbai AirportI look like I have been in a fight with black eyes because of lack of sleep.

But it have been fantastic and I have seen some amazing wildlife during my tour. So I can recommend tiger safari in India, but stay well clear of Pench and Pench Jungle Lodge.

My birding friend asked if I wanted to go for some birding outside Bangkok and it was a place I had heard off. But I told him after the weekend as I will leave my camera for cleaning at Canon on MBK Center. The camera and lens are full of dust. Then I hope we can race a little at Bangkok Slot Car Club on Sunday.

Well, tomorrow it is time to go back home and it will be nice to come home. We just click HERE to find out if I managed to find smoke salmon back home in Bangkok
