Sunday 22nd of January 2017 and the car was waiting for me when I came down at 6 o'clock. We were soon on our way on almost empty streets. Early Sunday morning and there wasn't many cars. We were soon on the toll way and I was in the back enjoying a Diet MAX.
There was an annoying beeping and I asked the driver what it was. He told me that it was the GPS. I asked if he could turn it off because it was at least to say annoying. He pointed up to the roof and he explained that the GPS was on the roof and there was nothing he could do. Well, it took me about 3 minutes to realise that the bipping was due to high speed. I asked him several times to slow down as I'm very sceptic, at least to say, how they are driving in the third world. I have seen horrific things in the traffic.
Here we have a guy, his profession is to drive the car and he don't even know what the alarm signals is for in the car. I had to explain for him and I also had to tell him several times to slow down before he finally kept it at 100.
- MAXIMUM 100 KM/H!!!!! I said for the 8th time before he understood.
I always give 100 Baht tip when I go to and from the airport, but this guy never got anything. Suvarnabhumi was empty like I cannot remember having seen it before.
Check-in was not open and when they had open after a few minutes it didn't took long to get to the Silver Kris Lounge where I had breakfast while waiting for flight SQ 973 to Singapore.
Second time in a short time and the WIFI is down at Singapore Airlines Silver Kris lounge in Bangkok. Not very impressive at least to say. And I don't expect them to have any Diet Pepsi on board. So I have discovered exactly the length Singapore Airlines are prepared to go
I left for the gate and as boarding was delayed I had time to watch a video on my phone. Swedish state television is in Washington asking people about Donal Trump. It was hilarious and I was grateful that I started to tell people that I was from Denmark a long time ago as it was very embarrassing. Look at the girl, she think it is Saturday Night Live.
Hilarious, imagine sending this guy to USA as a reporter for Swedish television, embarrassing. And Swedish television's attitude towards their viewers, just to say something bad about Donald and everyone is happy. Twat Man could not believe it when he could not get any one to say anything bad about Donald. This guy must have been embarrassed coming back to his job, well, thinking about it. Not likely, this kind of people are full of them self.
They had to cut it from the studio in Stockholm blaming technical difficulties
There was a guy coming to get me at my seat. He told me they were preparing for boarding. I could not help myself:
- What, do we only have 30 seconds to board before they closing the door?
- Nah, we just prepare for boarding
Alarming, the last month or so all the people want to help me. Walking down stairs, getting out of cars, carry my stuff etc. This is nothing I wish for, do I look like I'm about to die? Do I look like I cannot walk by myself?
Singapore Airlines flight SQ 973 was almost full so I had to sit next to a guy from Japan. Well, it was OK and I enjoyed my light breakfast and a few cups of tea. I continued to watch the TV series I had started when I was flying back from Bali.
So it was a pleasant flight, but we were late and there would not be many minutes for me to go to Terminal 2 to catch flight SQ 916 to Manila. Boarding at 13:45 and we expect to land just after 13 thirty.
And we will land at terminal 3 so I need to take the sky train. And the clock was 13:45 when I got on board the sky train. It took me about 3 minutes to get to terminal 2. When I finally made it to the gate I was almost alone and the boarding was completed.
Soon in Singapore
Skytrain station in Terminal 3
Skytrain is coming
Skytrain is coming
On board the Skytrain
Arrival to Terminal 2
Boarding flight SQ 916 to Manila
It was only me in the security when there was another girl coming and we boarded the flight as the last two passengers. I had asked if the seat next to me was occupied when I boarded and yes, there was a guy sitting in the seat next to me. He was talking to another passenger when I came to my seat. They were obviously friends, or at least they knew each other.
The guy was in the front in front of us, and as I checked at the boarding I knew that he was alone in his row. I was quick to ask if he wanted to change seat so he could chat with his friend.
So I was alone on Singapore Airlines flight SQ 916 and my mood improved by a few hundred %. Take off was delayed due to some unknown reason. We were served dinner and I spent the rest of the flight looking at a Danish movie. The series I had started on the way to Singapore was not available on this flight.
When I boarded I got a chock when I spotted the seats, this was not a new aircraft. I asked how old the aircraft was and they told me it was old. Entertainment system had the smallest screen I have seen in a very long time. So I had to watch a Danish movie.
Flight SQ 916 to Manila
Immigration is empty
Waiting for my luggage
We were flying around over Manila for a while before we could land so we were not in the terminal until 6 o'clock. Immigration was empty and I was in the luggage area after just a few minutes. They were going to be here to pick me up from the hotel. But I never saw anyone in the arrival area with my name on a placard.
I walked around looking for my driver for about 30 minutes before I went to get a taxi to my hotel. I checked-in and I put my bag in my room before I went for my dinner. The hotel restaurant, it was not what I had expected.
There were a few restaurant but the main restaurant didn't serve western food. They offered a Filipino buffet, and that is exactly so exciting as it sounds like. Not very!
But the room was nice, especially the desk. A real desk and chair so I can work with my lap top. The internet was sucking balls so I decided to go to buy a SIM card with 4G internet. And after having asked around I decided to go buy a GLOBE SIM card.
In the reception they told me that the hotel internet was only for “browsing” Whatever that means, are we back in the 90's? Internet for browsing only, never heard something like this before.
I walked down the street to the local 7 Eleven. I bought a GLOBE SIM and a 500 Peso refill card.
I bought a few bottles of refreshments and I walked back to the hotel. It was raining, cannot remember have seen rain in Manila in January before. But the weather is strange. Back at the hotel and I installed my new SIM and I had internet. A must when we write the year 2017
Back from 7 Eleven
I asked for a 05:30 wakeup call and they will pick me up at 6 thirty for school. This promise to be exciting and we just need to click HERE to find out if I make it to school.
OK, it has come to my knowledge that we have senior citizens visiting my web page. How hard can it be? So it's not very easy for them to see the blue coloured links to the next page.
