   Monday 6th of July 2016 and I was to pick up my brothers family quarter past 10 and we left about 15 minutes later. It is about one hour to the “moose land” It was yet another gloomy and  grey day with rain. Yeah, a beautiful summer.
We passed the exit to Markaryd and we could see the Moose safari sign and we took off the highway at the exit after Markaryd. We arrived to Smålandet and I bought a ticket for the car. The plan was to go a tour with the train as well, but it was too cold. I got my tickets and I returned to the car and we could start the moose safari. We entered the forest and it didn't took long before we spotted our first moose.  We arrive to Smålandet

   We took two tours with the car before we left the safari. My youngest nephew was the only one wanting to go by the train as well. My oldest nephew, well, I think he grew tired of it and he wasn't so interested in the train. And it was cold, and one hour to the next departure. And they were hungry so we left. We were looking for a restaurant, but good luck finding “fine dining” in Småland. So we gave up after having been driving around in Markaryd and we were soon  on the high way back to Skåne. And we were approaching Skåne and we ran in to some sunshine at the border so we decided to go back to take the train tour as well.
We were back at Smålandet a few minutes before 1 o'clock and we just made it in time for the departure. I bought tickets and I discovered that they had given me 1 adult and 1 car ticket. So I had to return to the ticket office.  Now they had to try print the tickets again and I told them that the train was leaving and they had to hurry up.
They followed us to the train and we took our seats in the last car. They handed our branches with leaves for us to feed the moose with. This promise to be fun. Me nephews were excited, maybe we would come up close to one of the moose on this train trip. So yes, I was excited as well. I have seen moose before, but only from a car when passing them on the highway. But I can only remember only having seen one moose in my life. Anyway, we took off towards new moose adventures on the train and the children were jumping up and down in pure excitement.  Exciting to take off

               The train trip took about one hour and we had really enjoyed it. No regrets that we had been driving back to Småland to take the train tour. The only thing missing was the good weather. But  the excitement made us think  of other things than the chill and the rain.
My nephews wanted to stay for waffles but I said no. We want to eat some real food, and we will not find any food, at least nothing we want to eat, until we reach Skåne. So Skåne it was and we were soon on the high way. We wanted to go to the air force museum in Ängelholm and they close at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. So we had 3 hours to get there before they closed. So this would not give us much time for eating, and for sure not much time at the museum. The only thing we could come up with for lunch was a place called Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård. Close to the air force museum. I have been there before and it is  OK. We parked the car and we went inside to check it out.
Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård was just about to close the buffet when we came. But they keept it out for us and I had two plates and I was full. But I just had to have a plate of blueberry pie with whipped cream and vanilla sauce before leaving. OK, I brimmed the bowl with whipped cream and blueberry pie and there was only space for a little vanilla sauce. What to do? There is really only  one thing to do, I took one more bowl and I filled the bowl with vanilla sauce.
2 brimmed plates and I had to take them back to the table one by one or I would have spilled vanilla sauce all  over the floor at Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård.
The blueberry pie with toppings was very good, but when I was ready I was so full I felt really bad. One thing is for sure, no need to eat any dinner today. By the time we were ready at Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård it was too late to go to the air force  museum. I returned my rented car to SIXT -rent a car in Helsingborg and I took a taxi to Hotel Marina Plaza.
The driver, came from Iraq 14 years ago and he had been living in Helsingborg for 14 years, but he had no clue where Hotel Marina Plaza was located. Sweet Jesus, how is this possible? The hotel is right there next to Knutpunkten and seriously, if you have lived in Helsingborg for 2 weeks it would have been impossible not to learn where Marina Plaza was located. This was bad, and he used a GPS and could still not find it. I hat to react forcefully and step in as I had no time cruising around Helsingborg all night long. I asked for a 4 o'clock in the morning wake up call and when I was back in my room I checked in to my flights. Turkish Airlines flight TK 1784 from Kastrup to Istanbul and flight TK 0064 to Suvarnabhumi and I had aisle seat all the way. I will take a Øresundtåg or a Pågatåg from Knutpunkten to Kastrup around 8 o'clock tomorrow morning. And my Skånetraffiken app comes in handy yet again.
