  Friday 6th of May 2022 and I wake up just before my alarm is set to go off. They call a few minutes later for my 4 o'clock wake-up call. I am in the reception at 5 thirty to check out and they had booked a taxi for me. time to leave Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel and Warsaw. I have been really impressed by Warsaw, everything is clean and the house and city are looking very good. And of course, nice green areas in the city. And the Warsaw Frederic Chopin International Airport is also very nice and they had a FAST LANE. I had a pot of tea and two sandwiches before passing security.  We start boarding just after 7 o'clock and I get a MAX as soon as I take my seat. We are soon on the way towards Copenhagen, a one hour and ten minutes flight. Just enough time to finish a soda and as I had had my breakfast, I told the Stewardess that I did not need any food. Time passed quickly while I was looking at Poland as we flew over the country. I could not help to think about Poland when I was there for the first time 40 years ago. What and progress of the now beautiful country, and at the same time Sweden have felt in to decay. Arriving to Copenhagen and I had to wait for about one hour before check-in to Atlantic Airways is opening. I bought two Danish flags luggage tags to put on my bag to alleviate the boredom. Now it will hopefully be easy to spot my bag at the luggage claim. Check-in opened and I went to check in and it was one of the most unpleasant airport staff I had ever experienced in charge. And coming to the security just to discover millions of people and I was not in a good mood. But one of the staff opened to the fast lane and suddenly I was number 4 in the line to security. Two hours flight and I enjoyed a 3 Dollar soft drink. Time passed quite quickly and we were soon seeing Faroe Islands outside the windows. And it was impressive to see the islands with the high vertical cliff sides. And it was sunshine, but only 9 °C according to the pilot. We landed and I was excited, my first time on Faroe Islands so I am really looking forward to this.  Time to disembark the plane

My investments in Danish flags for my luggage back at Kastrup International paid off instantly. I spotted the Danish flags on my bag immediately when the bag came in on the conveyor belt. So this was a good investment. 12 Dollars for 2 flags so it was OK. I took my bag and I passed a smiling Officer in the custom and I went to the information desk to ask where I could buy a SIM card. - You can buy one here, he said. I received an email from Atlantic Car Rental when I waited for the luggage, I had to go to the Car Rental Center building next to the arrival hall to pick up the keys to the car. Then walking back to the parking to look for my car. A lot of trotting today. I left to go look for some birds and I discovered that I had no internet on my new SIM card so I drove back to the airport but no parking. I left the airport again and I found a supermarket where I could buy groceries.  Car Rental Center

I was driving towards the third tunnel and I have had a police car behind me. Suddenly the police turn on the blue light and I turn in to a bus stop to let the police car pass me. But the car followed me and I make a U-turn. One police officer threw herself out of the police car and start to run after me. I stop and open the window. She asked what language and if I am a tourist. She said that I had been running 80km/h and then suddenly 50 and 80 again. - Typical tourist, she said. She told me that tourist usually drive like this to have a look at the gorgeous landscape. I told he that there were nowhere to stop along the road to enjoy the sights and she agreed. I also told her that there were no signs with the speed limits along the road. - Yes, I know. It is 80km/h, she said. The police said bye bye and they were soon on their way again I drive through three tunnels to reach Torshavn and I stop to try the internet on my phone one more time when I reach Torshavn. No success and I was really happy that I had checked the position this morning so I knew about where it was. North of the harbour. I had to ask for directions two times and I was very close, but the problem is the street names, no signs. But I managed to find my apartment. It was nice to go to bed and my alarm is set to go off at 4. Click HERE to find out if I see any birds here on Faroe Islands.
