  Tuesday 23rd of April 2019 and my alarm went off 5 inutes before 4 and I went up to turn on the kettle. I will leave Hamgården Nature Resort Tiveden at 16:00 to be at “fågelpaviljongen” in good time before 5 o´clock. So I will have some bird watching around Hamgården before my lunch. And I´m really looking forward to some falukorv. I walked around the area and I ended up at the lake and I spotted a Blue Tit, otherwise nothing special. Two Blackbirds going down to the lake and coming back I saw a Dunnock singing from the top of a tree.  Blackbird / Koltrast

Back at the cottages and I spotted a Eurasian Nuthatch and a few other birds that I never got on pictures. But I managed to record the Blue Tit and the Eurasian Nuthatch. Lunch time and they had made falukorv for me, very good and I was in a very good mood leaving the restaurant. I left Hamgården Nature Resort Tiveden at 4 o´clock giving me an hour to find “fågelpaviljongen”, and of course, some time to stop if I find anything interesting on the way. Reaching “fågelpaviljongen” and I park the car. I walk back on the dust road looking for birds while waiting for the other people. They arrive, one Swedish and two from Denmark. We have some snacks at “fågelpaviljongen” before we´re leaving for the forest and the hides. They have 4 hides at the Capercaillie lekking area.  Snacks before we leave “fågelpaviljongen”
It was an easier trek today, not so much swamp on the way to the Capercaillie lekking area and I was surprised to see the tents way before I had expected it. We will have one tent each and there are wood pallets in the middle of the tent with a mattress on top. We will wake up at 03:20 and then we will stay absolutely still so we don´t make any noise. Of course impossible and I was quite feed up with all this “quiet” Seriously, there are a lot of noise in the forest and now we should be silent in the tents. No floor so moving around and the brushwood will of course make noise. So this was a waste of money as I was scared to disturb the birds and the other bird watchers would be angry over lost money. I was asleep at 9 o´clock and my mobile phone in silent mode, and I hope to wake up at 03:20 when the silent alarm will go off in vibrating mode. Click HERE to find out if we see any Capercaillie lek tomorrow morning.
